C'mon guys, this is an excellent opportunity for HDN to showcase itself and Steelbooks to a potentially new audience. Instead of saying how disappointed you are that it isn't available in your area let the Con enjoy their exclusive and appreciate the hard work of the entire HDN staff. This could be just they beginning of future HDN exclusives. I'm sure several of the members attending will pick up several copies and if at all possible host mini GBs but we need to be patient. After all isn't some of the fun of collecting chasing down these special editions.

I get what your saying and kinda agree with some of it but I hope this is not the beggining of the future of HDN exclusives otherwise a huge percentage of members will miss out.
Would be amazing if some members going would do a GB but of course completely down to them if they want to do that.

Part of the fun is chasing them down but only a small part and not having to fly half way across the world for it.

I'm just a tiny bit dissapointed that all this hard work and what looks to be the best of the 3 exclusives has gone into an item us loyal members pretty much won't be able to get and people who may not even appreciate steelbooks and might not even collect them will be able (yes I get that this is supposed to make new members and get newbies collecting). Also this design having nothing to do with mondo is also strange that it will only be sold there.

It's excellent HDN is branching out and having slots at cons and designing exclusives for those moments but let the members have a chance to get a copy too.
400 is a very small print run and compared to the interview which is 200 although that may still be avaliable this title is much more loved and add a steelbook slip with uv lighting that's never been done before with a uv torch to get the full effect and end result will be competely sold out.
Hope I'm wrong and some do go on the shop after but who knows.

You never know, People who attend might be strictly mondo and not want to buy an item that's not related to mondo.
It looks so cool that I doubt that will matter lol

Reading some of comments from other members,we should be congratulate Wreck and people at HDN for making this fabulous steelbook.
The HDN people have a business to run and to promote the site,so they can not please everyone.

I would say most that have expressed how they feel about how it's being sold has still thanked them for their hard work and appreciate what they are doing. Just go back the last few pages

@Flloydo I don't want to say to much but the this is something wreck put 100's of hours into this.

Getting a booth at Mondo Con is not the same as a booth at another con like NYCC or SDCC (though I do hear there is a waitlist for SDCC), the people at Mondo are very particular and are very hands on in everything they do. Just getting a booth was I am sure lots of calls and emails and communication. Then you have to add the fact that getting a movie studio to work with you is just insane, I was talking to Nick from scanavo, the marketing director, and what he was telling me just to produce the Mondo X steelbooks is a huge give and take with the distributors and these are established companies. So for HDN to get in the game as it were is a huge huge deal.

So naturally Wreck wants to be able to showcase this at MondoCon and drum up excitement. But if he sells half or more to the members before the show starts that could leave a bad impression and I think as a whole we want the community to grow which will allow Wreck to more easily do more exclusives in the future.

That said I am sure copies will end up in ninjas hands that can't attend. There are a lot of ninjas who will be attending

Also I still want to see the actual flashlight

Oh I completely agree with you, it is a huge deal, and I would love to go to mondo con and meet him, tridon, bloodsnake and the other members and check the booth out and if you see my other posts I've been thanking the hard work and even mentioned the stress that must of come with it.
It's very clear how much hard works goes into all this.

Plus im not the only one to mention this. Just seems I may of worded it well enough for people to like/ agree/ disagree and comment on that post.

And in respect im allowed to voice my opinion. I wasn't nasty or said anything rude, it was just my thoughts.
Wreck's a legend and what he has achieved in whole and done for this site and getting exclusives and coins etc and I love this second home... I mean site but we are still allowed to say what we need to say and you never know it may all be feedback to him which I hope that's how he and other HDN mods and members will see it as that.

Hope your right and members from around the world do get an opportunity to own this.

I also can't wait to see the light and also the package as a whole. I'm sure he will have photos ready.
Also just looking forward to the photos of everyone attending and of the con. Hint hint @bloodsnake007 lol

I am so damn behind with this thread :sorry: :( All last week I was at a Training Seminar for Locksmith, I'm back now but OUCH! :blackeye: my head hurts from reading all of the comments since page 4! :wacky: Thanks for ALL the tags my Ninja Brothers and Sisters!

I'm completely blown-away with Exclusive #3! ZOMBIELAND?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :OMG: This is truly EPIC! BEYOND awesome! :notworthy: @Wreck @digitalbabe @apsmith21 Thanks for all the hard work Ninjas! :notworthy: This is what makes this place the BEST on the internet, I know I continue to say it, Only because it's TRUE, "HDN FU**ING ROCKS!!!"   Damn proud to call myself a Ninja!

Now I can't wait to see this beauty up close next month, Mondo-Con... here we come! :hungry:

@Wreck will there be a limit on how many you can purchase? This will give those attending an idea of how many members they can help source a copy.

We will limit people, of course. No one is coming in and buying some crazy #. However if someone like yourself or another Ninja is going and buying for OTHER Ninjas then yes I would sell them X. But that wont be without questioning.

This is our first con, and its a Con more focused on Art and Prints ... I have no clue how popular our offerings will be. I fully anticipate many Ninjas here to get copies through people and I also hope some of the Con go'ers who dont know of us can also purchase one too should they be interested. However Movie Collectors are a different breed then Art Collectors ...

This is what HDN is doing at Mondo Con, imagine what HDN will do at Comic Con.
This Train keeps on rolling.

We *might* be at Texas Frightmare Weekend in May. (Dallas)

Glad that your limiting purchse amounts which I thought you would.
Would love to hear the questioning lol
I can imagine someone coming up to you and asking for 10 copies and saying there name is tridon when he's standing right next to you. Would be hilarious

@Flloydo oh I was not picking on you just entering the conversation late and picking up but also trying to give a little background of what I hear when talking to people not just Wreck but others as well. I just think Wreck wants it all, people coming up to the booth, learning more about HDN and steelbooks, learning there is an exclusive, and making sure members are taken care of.

of course you are allowed your thoughts, as long as they don't go against my thought  @bloodsnake007 and @Ricker know this soon you will too :woot:
