I am pretty sure that this is exactly what it is.

On the other note, I am assuming there will be no ugly/defective embossing as the rest of the world has?

This beautiful SteelBook™ features a silk finish, debossed (imprinted) title, and a line look to match the previous Thor 2: The Dark World SteelBook™ making this a must have for any Marvel fan.

Now I'm scared... seriously, if this has the same dull finish as Thor2, I'll be very sad...

It did look shiny but I am skeptical since it was a showcase video rather than video of original steelbook. Anyways, Zerox will have the preview tomorrow so not so long wait.

I ordered it last June, went down to $26.99 then back up again to $26.99, will FS honor the lowest price (preorder guarantee)? Called CS and they had no idea about any price drop last july

The policy is to honor the lower price in most cases. There are some cases of a major error where they end up having to issue retraction notices, but this isn't one of those times.

Tbh, I found the finish on Thor 2 completely acceptable; I'm one of the biggest advocates of gloss finishes, but if the finish is similar to that of Thor 2 I won't be too disappointed . I mean at least it's not a horrible streaky matte finish like many of StudioCanal releases!

I think they have a nomenclature issue. I was also told the 300 SteelBook was silk finish. I've changed it to matte in the post to avoid confusion

Having a title is AWESOME but unfortunately, seems like we won't have the PERFECT Captain America Winter Soldier steelbook...


Matte (or silk) is perfect to avoid imperfection/fingerprint but still, the art looks dull and washed up. It takes away the details and deep or the artwork...
