I know this doesnt help for this one,but heres a pro tip and what i do
Keep a notepad of all the steelbooks you have on pre order and what days they are coming out so you get nothing unexpected. Its also good for remembering pre orders you no longer want,ever since i've started collecting this has helped alot. I also have a list for steelbooks im waiting to drop in price, so i don't lose track

I do that as well. I found it's a rather foolproof way of not biting off more than I can chew.

Majority of the Disney/Pixar UK Steels get a nice and detailed inside artwork.

It does have some embossing. the outline of the Cars badge and the letters are embossed, a bit round the windscreen( hard to see), the mouth and one tyre.

I would say its quite a dull matt, although the car itself shines more in the light. trying to upload a video. Also noticed his eyes are embossed too.
