as long as it's coming, i'm not too worried about the cancellation of the kimchi exclusive.
in the end (like with so many things in life) this change of plans will be good for something (even if we don't realize it now from our subjective collector's point of view);

for me it has not changed anything, still one of the most anticipated releases of the year, and PA design makes my hopes for a sublime release even bigger.

It'll be interesting to see how they manage to get round the licensing issues if they sell it themselves to international customers - this may only be for Korean residents.

Shame about Kimchi but if Plain Archive have got anything to do with it then I'm feeling pretty positive that we'll get a great quality product

Hopefully it will be available to buyers outside Korea and, if so, the print run will be higher than the small amount often available to international buyers :ohno:

Can't wait to see what they come up with!

i think licencing issues cannot prevent a retailer to sell an item to international customers, or prevent customers to import them somehow...
if this was a problem, amazon.com for example would have to stop selling criterion collection, shout factory or in fact any region A disc to customers outside of north america.
;)

Exciting times thou , to have another company in the game and some great titles announced , looking forward to hear more

nova media is not really a newcomer, exciting to hear that they will have their own exclusives though...

here is a list on kimchi with publisher NOVA MEDIA:

Yes but if Nova Media are the publisher / rights holder then they aren't a pure retailer, and hence have control of where it's sold - pretty much every licensing agreement for a film will specify what countries you can sell in, so if Nova Media sell direct to international customers then they are in breach of their contract. Amazon.com can do it because the publisher is just selling them stock.

I'm missing something, can someone explain to me why Kimchi cancelled the release ? and who is gonna be selling this new exclusive ? (so if understand, there is no chnage with the company who owned the rights and they decided not to allow kimchi to release it ?) oh I'm so confused.
