Best is to buy these higher print run releases from the bay and stop worrying about customs. These are already loss leaders in the bay except for the leather slip.

I tried to refrain from posting but you never cease to amaze me with your comments lol.

How is the high print run of Kimchi Captain America Winter Soldier working out? Cheaper on the bay?

I was hit with customs at $20. Cost me £7 VAT and £13 courier fee. So to be sure has to be less than $20 for us, even though $20 is the threshold mark. Has anyone from their experience with steelbooks coming from abroad had their parcels opened from custom officials yet?
I'm in Rep of Ireland
I have have a few parcels from Korea recently sent to customs 3 in past few months
They open to see what's inside but did not remove the bubble wrapping that's what Irish Customs do
UK customs would be similar but I cant say for sure if they remove the bubble wrap or not
They put sticker on outside opened by customs

This has happened a few times recently

With Irish Customs items sent from Korea if there is more than 1 item in the parcel and sent to customs you will get hit for PayPal invoice request pretty much guarenteed you will
That's why I no longer do one clicks with Korea/China releases
If it's only 1 item most times it's ok

My Captain America Steelbook from Kimchi was sent to customs yesterday and opened but was released from customs same day and delivered this morning they did not request any info from me regarding a PayPal invoice it was marked as $20.00

If it was marked lower than $20.00 they most likely would have requested a PayPal invoice

This is a rock and a hard place situation. In Ireland if it's below $20 chances are they will get hit. In uk if it is not marked lower than $20 then we will get hit with customs. I would say put 17.99 or something but I know I that will annoy and effect others

I spoke to a worker at parcel force about the custom charges. They do use their discretion sometimes when they can see it is of an item that is not going to gain anything by charging the VAT if its over the threshold such as blurays/DVDs/CDs. I had items from Amazon.com for $20-25 and wasn't charged customs either. So it's about who's marking them, who is gonna be anal, who's going to be a little more realistic about what is coming in.

nope, except for if damage occurs then you will only be able to claim what amount is marked on the package. We dont pay import fees

We do pay import fees but rarely get charged. Korea orders are free trade so no customs to US unless total declared value is over $10000 (there is a nominal processing fee after that).

For any other orders like China,, EU etc the limit is $200 (anything over that can be subjected to customs). Shouldnt affect many people in here.

I have been charged for customs duty multiple times on Amazon Canada orders.

wow i have never been hit and have had many orders over 200. I actually knew there was a limit but i thought it was well over 1000. Sorry to hear you have been tagged :(
