Great steel in hand, and I'm happy to report it hasn't been massaged with sandpaper like some recent releases.

Just went for the full slip this time around. I was a little underwhelmed with the treatment on the last couple of Manta full slips, but this one is on point. A nice gritty texture to the white background, red foil lettering, and embossed spot glossed bits:

Nice little edition all-round. Looking forward to watching this for the first time.

The steelbook is great. Seems like perhaps these aren't going to have the problem with scuffs and scratches. No one appears to have monkeyed with the steelbooks this time.

Nah Full Slip is the best, not much movement to those lentis man whereas the Full Slip has a gorgeous look and feel to it... made the right decision here but to each his own

Yeah, classic Manta lenti, pretty clear and crisp picture with some depth, but NO movement at all...

I was lucky enough to find a couple hours this morning to watch this for the first time. Really enjoyed it. This must be one of the most solid trilogies in quite some time. I'm looking forward to completing the set!

The sun actually poked through the clouds a bit when I was done watching, so I thought I'd snap a couple shots before putting it back on the shelf. It's basically a rehash of the ones I posted earlier, but with better lighting.


And @tommyh84, as long as you like the art, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the full slip once you have it in hand. The gritty white surface has a great texture that contrasts nicely with the spot gloss and foil. The lentis do look nice, though!

There's even a metallic sheen on the tiny little bits of Woody's glasses. Didn't even notice it under artificial light, but hey, it's there.

@misformatt awesome pictures dude! As you say this trilogy is really EPIC! 3 solid entires possibly one of it not the best sci-fi trilogies of recent years! Hyped for this release and hope Manta do Rise and Dawn too. If not FA it will be!

That Manta´s breathtaking gloss always gets me I passed on this but starting to regret a bit , even that fullslip looks stunner. If this will go for reasonable price on bay eventually Im gonna pick it up.

more gloss doesn't mean it's better, especially when it's a gamble if it arrives fully scratched or not
