I've just been made aware of these copies on eBay being sold by Zavvi themselves, when this particular SteelBook has been "Sold Out" for months now - and at an inflated price too!

If you ask me, this is very bad form on Zavvi's part, and they should have been sold on their website at the original price of £17.99! Clearly this only goes to prove their greed, and they realised that they can easily sell them for a higher mark-up if they sold them via eBay! While not as high as the scalpers are charging, they're still charging over the retail price before they've even shipped them to customers! It almost seems like they've deliberately kept a batch aside to sell at the higher price, and to give the false impression that this SteelBook sold out on pre-orders...

I for one am not impressed with their unprofessional sales practices, and I think they have quite a nerve to list items for sale on eBay at a higher price than they were previously selling them for on their site!

And we're supposed to trust this retailer as the "Home of SteelBookz"?

Ordered two. One for me, one for my friend ExRox. Sadly the price is erm crazy. Maybe trading standards should get involved. If these are cancellations then surely they should be sold at the original price?

Even thou I 100% agree with you.. the problem is the only way to deter them from such practice is to NOT BUY their products at inflated price. This will teach them to put stuff back on their website. The problem is people are soo desperate to get them and afraid of scalpers and inflation value down the line.. they bite the bullet and buy it anyway. (Myself included) This just shows Zavvi it doesn't matter how much people bicker and complain.. at the end of the day they are still willing to hand them their $$.

wow.. talk about shady business practices. They have a site, why not just jack the price up there and sell.. at least that would be better. I'd debating cancelling the few things I still have on order after cancelling 3 pages worth of orders.

I had to buy another title from Zavvi outlet on ebay because Zavvi screwed up my pre-orders, and had shipping costs on top of the original price. One of my two copies had a pretty annoying defect.

£24 + shipping for this Aladdin is just insane, especially considering the original price was £18. (Let's continue to discuss Zavvi over here: https://www.hidefninja.com/forums/showthread.php?p=673800#post673800 and let your voice be heard)

I would advise anyone who got their pre-order(s) cancelled to contact Zavvi and try to get at least some of the additional costs covered. I guess there's no point in expecting a refund, but Zavvi might transfer some account credit as compensation. But you'll have to ask for it.

288 sold, still more than 10 available, over 200 people watching per hour, 24 GBP + shipping = 10 GBP more than the original price on Zavvi - and the discount codes that might have been used not even taken into account

I am sure the print is more than 5,000. I don't believe over 500 people have cancelled because I am pretty sure they have more than just 300 .

not playing Zavvi's dirty games ... so no Aladdin in my collection and also no Jungle Book or Little Mermaid because i just cancelled those orders ... which means money saved towards some other steelbooks :p
