I ordered two from yesasia. One I opened and one is sealed. After I opened the one, I noticed that there was a line across the top of the steel that consists of small dimple mark indentations/dings. Either it was a manufacturer defect or the book that came with it rested on the damaged item and left the marks.
I emailed yesasia and said I would keep the item if they gave me a discount. They replied and gave me a $5 store credit which I didn't want. I emailed them again and said I want a discount or a replacement. They said to reply and to either choose a store credit or a replacement. I said I wanted a replacement. They replied back to me asking me for images and I sent them. The damage is sort of hard to pick up on a camera, but I did the best that I could. They then replied back saying that they would send a replacement, but asked me to send the defective copy first using regular air mail. I have to pay for shipping which I don't mind, but they will not reimburse me, they will give me store credit. They will only give me store credit for regular air mail, so if it gets lost in the mail, i have to eat the return shipping cost, and I will no longer have the item. Once and if they get it back, they will deem if a replacement will be sent or not. If they deem its not damaged which it clearly is, they will send back the item (which could be further damaged for all I know during return shipment).
What a joke this is turning out to be. Looks like I'll be sticking with K2DVD from now on
