The whole point of a group buy is to help those who would otherwise find it difficult or impossible to purchase a particular Steelbook. I don't see why it should be restricted to retailers with limited shipping arrangements. If a collector is not able to get to a computer when a listing goes live or their preferred payment method is not accepted by a particular retailer (as a couple of examples), why should they miss out? It is commonly said that a collector should 'find a way' if they really want something, I think a group buy is a good a way as any.

Fully agreed. Server issues are what concern me the most and although there was a perfectly logical explanation for not being able to place an order for Zero Dark Thirty on PA's website at the time (which was relative to the towering demand of said title). I was prepared and it wasn't my fault for missing it since I was glued to my screen hours before it went live. So point stands if you're willing to pay a bit more for it; why not?

Maybe GB's should be announced after live time like a last resort instead of signing straight up weeks in advance? So that at least people prior to the GB will try to stick an order in (Kimchi, Nova etc not in-store exclusives).

But its not only those people ("who find it difficult or impossible") that are guaranteeing themselves a copy. Its also people who are too lazy and also people willing to abuse the system. Its not a way of levelling the playing field as some would seem to suggest , On the contrary its more akin to fixing the result.

Truth. I don't know why I'm defending this particular scenario, as I plan on ordering from the website and as it currently stands I don't hold out much hope. I would think paying 2x postage would put some people off but evidently 14 pages worth of posts debunks that.

ive just been on the website to see if I can order direct and cannot see them in there at all. Is this some secret club or something? No wonder people participate in group buys.

I am hopefully going to score all 3 of the full slips. This keeps the decision easier on what to buy. The harder decision will be which to open when I receive them.

I have also decided I am going to skip the Big Hero 6 order so I can concentrate my funds for this one.

Damn it!!! Why 3 Damn Full slips??? Milking it for all it has:'(
Don't know if I should get 1 Full and 1 Lenticular or 3 Full and 1 Lenticular.......Damn you!!! Better be a discount ;)

Hehehe, you have a choice to buy or not (but quite hard to resist right!!!). NM knows this title would be a HOT commodity with the right steel treatment and extras (easy choice due to boring original steel and VMB). Also, the movie made big bucks and Part 2 is about to set some new records @ the box office, so it's time to milk.

JUST A QUICK QUESTION ABOUT THE ACTUAL STEEL - besides all the GB discussion right here..

Has Novamedia already stated the pre-order time for this?
I'd like to order this beauty directly, so i do actually care about the go-live time.. :p

The funny thing is that the number of copies allocated for International customers is arguably denying Korean locals the opportunity to purchase a copy. I don't see anyone complaining about that. ;)

Novamedias pre-order live times are on point for EU customers  Most of the time its in the afternoon over here
Plain Archive releases are always a adventure over here. For ZDT I went to bed for 2 1/2 hours, woke up with the alarm at 2, ordered, went to bed for 2 hours sleep and off to work :oohyeah:

Since I own the german Steelbook I thought I would be good with it and pass on this release. I love all comic and super hero movies don't get me wrong but I don't need multiple releases of them. One good release suffices for me.
BUT the John Wick Lenticular was my second Novamedia Release after Drive Lenticular. And both are so awesome that I never wanna miss out again on a Nova Lenticular.
With that sayd, I will tolerate the CA arm and Im in for a Lenticular when it goes live  Im stronger than Magneto :hulk::hulk::hulk::hulk:

That's because there are only 2 Koreans on this forum and their nature isn't to moan and complain. That isn't fengshui.... ;-)

Teddyjun and Choi. ;-)

And above all, this is not a Korean forum. Every release so far has always still been available for the local market even after the international stock was oos.
