Not at all- Considering none of us know if we've made the GB or not, it would be completely naive to sit and wait as opposed to actively buying it (if the opportunity arises)
If the GB quantities/list was confirmed, then fine. But it's not...
Hey guys,to add to this-I know from MB's (and several of our other hosts) long history of hosting group buys, that there was 100% intent to provide the copies. This is not really a "typical" situation by any means. For all we know Nova decided to discontinue bulk sales (which they do to several individuals) all together, going forward. I do not know but it's a possibility. I imagine that with the popularity of this title, it could have also crossed their mind that they don't "need" to bulk sell any qty-they'd sell themselves. Please note, this is all speculation-I've not spoken to them myself, just looking at some possible explanations. In the end, a company wishes to successfully sell all of their product. I think some definitive communication would have helped in this instance, but all of that is up to them. They don't "owe" anyone copies for group buys, and it's their prerogative of how to sell their product. I personally hope that they do limit quantities for the masses, so that "collectors" get the versions they wish to own.

Isn't that the reason to join the GB is to secure your copy so that you can sit and wait when others fighting for it?
Yes, but nobody has confirmation on this GB, which is why my answer to the original question was if you can buy a copy direct from Novamedia do it opposed to waiting for any news on the GB.
If the news isn't what people want to hear then they'll be the ones ultimately missing out by sitting back and waiting on the GB..

Amen to this- And I'm sure nobody on here would knock MB; for reasons unknown, this is an exceptional circumstance and he shouldn't take any blame for it considering everything done up to and including now is in the best interests of fellow members on here.

Hey guys, as MB said (see op), you should order on your own, as there is no other info available from Nova at this time. There is nothing more he can do. If you do 'sit out' the ordering with Nova, and they then say he doesn't have enough qty for group buy (seems likely at this point, imo), you are likely to miss out completely. I hghly doubt folks will be blacklisted in a situation like this, fyi.

Emmm.... So what if GB buyers do get what they wanted in the GB and somehow ordered their copy at Nova successfully, then what will happen to their extra copies? Also, what about that people who tried to order directly at the first place but failed eventually for that GB buyers claimed two or even more copies? Is it fair?

No, but it you read MB's comment in the thread (you know, the guy who actually organised the GB) he suggests that if people can secure a copy from Nova themselves then to do that.
And as Digitalbabe said, I'm sure any members who secure a copy and are on the GB (if and when it materialises) won't be blacklisted for saying they don't want the GB copy anymore.
Ideally (& this goes for myself), if I manage to secure a copy via Nova and then later on get confirmation that X amount of copies are available via the GB and that I'm one of the lucky ones who'd made the cut, I'd vacate my space for someone less fortunate.
Its either that, or sit and wait for something that might not materialise- You decide what the clever option is...

One would hope the GB buyer who got a second copy, is honest and gives up their place in the GB for someone who missed out...

It seems clear that there are no guarantees with this particular group buy at all. No qty info has been made available by Nova. You should order on your own-if you do get a copy directly from them, contact John and request to be removed from his group buy. He has already stated (see op) people should order on their own, as he can't make any guarantees given this situation.

Exactly. Either GB quantities should be declared or it should be cancelled altogether. This "double ordering" is only making a bad situation infinitely WORSE.

Well, like MB said, he'll try to post an update tomorrow morning. It might mean that he cancels the GB altogether, or it might mean he's secured a certain amount of copies.
Either way, as long as we know one way or another before this goes live then you can't point any finger of blame towards MB; after all, he's trying to help.
This is a close knit community, and I've got every faith in the other members on here that they'd vacate their space on the GB if it transpires they've managed to get a copy and also managed to make the GB list (if/when it comes to fruition) and not keep one/sell the other on.

Yeah, let's just count on their honesty:)
Anyway, I will just try my luck tomorrow, and good luck to you all.

No worries, at least we know that there are good chances that we will find many copies on eBay at a 'reasonable' price :naughty:

Nova have been asked a few times today what is the order limit going to be so far they have avoided answering publicly what that will be

I expect we will get that answer later today in a few hours
Its only 8.05 am in Korea

I'm just speculating for now
One Click most likely will be a limit of 1 per account
Its then a decision with Nova do they go with a limit of 1 or 2 for individual editions
Due to the high interest and demand I will take a guess it will be a limit of 1

Keep an eye out on Nova Facebook page as that's were they usually make any announcements

Your suggestion that someone vacated their GB spot if they directly secure a copy would only benefit someone further down the GB list. How would it benefit someone who tried only ordering directly but missed out because of all this potential double ordering.

Dude- Stop being so negative. We know just how damned difficult it will be to secure a copy tomorrow, GB or not.
The purpose of the GB is to take some of the stress away from trying to secure a copy directly from Nova (which we know will end up being like gold dust)
It's a case of damned if they do, damned if they don't with some people- Masterblaster/John is trying to provide members on here a service end of the day; I'd much rather see a mix up with double ordering via GBs and allowing ninjas to be honest enough to settle it between themselves than to see the copies snapped up direct from Nova by scalpers to sell on via eBay.

Well, no one is of course obligated to "vacate" their spots, or give away their spare copies....and people buy for different reasons (their own collections, resale).....While there are many, many examples of generous ninjas who trade one on one, or want to help members, as is the case with any community, there are also instances where people are trying to get as many copies as possible-supply and demand, and opportunism have always been part of the "limited" collectibles market for decades and decades.
