The back art looks great, but that spine & front artwork are terrible. I know Disney do this to save costs for worldwide releases, but it boggles the mind that, in all likely hood, some retailer will get a titled spine, and title on the front, with the same design.
For Europe they are going to obviously change the relevant j card to suit each language, but it's not often they change the title on the actual steel to suit each language. They do, but not often. So why the hell don't they just whack on a proper title on the spine and front like the vast majority of steels and leave it at that?
There's bound to be one that stands out with a title, looking at you best buy, feel a GB coming on, so if best buy have negotiated for the title, why can't frigging Zavvi, or whoever do the same?
Why? Because they know it will sell out regardless.
I ve made this point in the past when people here saying the retailer is not to blame, of which they are right to the majority of that aspect, the studios design it after all, but they do have a small degree of input in what is wanted, no matter how small. Best Buy is an example, they must of at some point said to Disney not sure as this may not sell well, or probably not, but someone somewhere has said that it doesn't look right and we want it changed. Hence the steel we all want, well some of us anyway.
My point is if you are a retailer/dealer you buy in goods you think are going to sell well, if not you got back to the supplier and tell them why not, in turn the supplier looks at their product and looks to see if they can improve to shift products. It's called Feedback!! And if we don't moan to Zavvi, Amazon or whoever, they aren't going to forward our feedback to the suppliers, which is exactly what a GOOD retailer should do.
In a nutshell, I'm still going to flipping get it, regardless, but I'm disappointed with another release from Disney. Zavvi, we know you look at these forums, so listen up, because this could work in your favour, take note of what a lot of people are saying and pass your findings over to Disney, this could in turn make your customers happy and at the end of the day, SPEND MORE MONEY!! WIN WIN FOR EVERYONE!!
