I'm a fan, love the look of this combo steel but will wait for a trilogy steelbook. That would be the cherty on the cake for any "newer" Batmans fan out there.

by now, most people already own the movie already....they are only buying it for the look of the case. and for many Batman fans, they are buying it just because...they are a fan.

Exactly why I'm getting it. I'm a fan and I needs it.

And I'll buy that one too :hilarious:

If this thing has 5 discs .... what do you think a trilogy would have? Studios would be too scared to lose sells to normal consumers by not including special features (which come on 2nd discs etc.) thus a trilogy steelbook happening 7 discs? ... Its more likely a trilogy steel will come in a jumbo.

Thanks Wreck-added to OP. I wonder why they had to do a Jumbo, more than 4 discs? (Since the Alien one is still a 'slim', I guess they have more than 4 in this one?).

What a turn off! I wonder why the jumbo??? They'll see a lot of cancellation and they won't understand why! :ninja: power!

It also states 5 discs on Amazon. ;)

This will no doubt drop in price somewhere down the line, then I may consider picking it up.

I honestly do not understand the hang up over jumbos!

Yea fair enough Jumbos are daft if it is a 1, 2 or 3 disc edition (Monsters Inc, Up) but seeming as this is a 5 disc-er surely it is justified? I'm sure people would moan if a slim 5 disc SB was made and found to be of inferior quality so they can't win really. The only thing that slightly puts me off pre-ordering this is the fact that I cannot use my protective plastic sleeves. Anyone know of any jumbo versions or should we just wrap them in clingfilm! Lol.

BTW I had an email from HMV to say the item is now available to pre-order at £17.99 but it still has not updated just so people are aware. I guess it will change in 24 hrs or so.

I'll be preodering this. TDK is being released as a Triple play at the same time. I would rather this version as it would be a SB. PLUS if people kick up too much of a fuss about the jumbos, surely when/if a Trilogy Steelie is released they might make it a bare bones 3 blu-ray disc edition? It surely wouldn't be value for money thats for sure.

Just a thought.

Not a chance that I get this now. Jumbo's just aren't my thing.

Here's the thing, you can slim down a jumbo and make it look good ... which is cool .... however, what might kill it on this one ... is that this is a #'d edition. (according to the hut) And for those who remember the last #'d edition it was the jumbo (UK) Dr. Who. Where as the # was on the spine.

So if you slim this down, you lose your #. I guess if you have a crappy # it doesnt matter tho. This thing needs an awesome back like an Eskimo needs gloves.

Just bcs it's Jumbo Steelbook it doesn't mean its the end of the world, this could still be one good looking steel just like DE JP, Monsters Inc & Up, it's even numbered which should makes it even better, let's just wait and see first before we jump into any conclusion ;)

It was bland and dreary even before it was a jumbo. Look at the "artwork". Even the font is miserable. The Flash Gordon steelbook has better artwork than this.

It just completely fails in every way.

Get a spare of Aliens then take the Front/Back off this and use the spine from my spare French copy (which is only in english on spine). Voila, mega hybrid. Means binning a couple of discs possibly.
