Oh and I checked the item numbers on the site and in store, and the one that says it's a steelbook is actually the sku for the regular blu. The sku for the steelbook is totally different than the number on the website, that's why a lot of people got the regular blus apparently.

Thought this was interesting - there were two left yesterday afternoon at my closest store to my house - when I got one for you.
Stopped by today, just to check and the last one was gone. :eek:
Never thought anyone in my area liked steelbooks. I'll keep that in mind next time.

My wal-mart is sold out too, and has been for a while ... which is uber surprising due to the location.
Weird, my WM had the full rack stocked when I went in at 6pm on release day... the first one was a denter, and I couldn't even get it back in the rack they were packed so tight. I think I got the first one, even though I got there that late (unless they happened to re-stock mid-day, but given the obvious low-priority of the steels, I doubt it).

Now I'm worried as heck I preordered a month prior to the release date and my steels should arrive tomorrow so I will be having my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed so I get the correct and safe steels in my hand.

For those in the LA area, I stopped by the West Hills and Porter Ranch stores today to pick one up for a trade, and they were both completely sold out except for one copy at the Porter Ranch store which had a couple of small dings on it. I haven't been to the store on Van Nuys or the stores in Valencia/ Santa Clarita, though.

I disappeared from here for a bit, i needed to get the need to buy every steelbook, out of my system. Glad i could help ya arrive here!!
Finally found 2 that look ok at another WM this morning. I asked the Sales Associate not to put them in a bag, so they wouldn't do that move where they take it and slam it on the counter before putting in a bag. He looked at me like I was nuts, when I said "I can just carry them out". He said "You Can't just carry them out, why don't you want a bag"? I was like "I don't want to waste a bag on 2 small items" (which is also true, but only a side effect). I'll never understand why some people think slamming a metal cased item on a hard counter is a good idea. Oi vey...LOL....thanks for everyone that offered to help me near and far, after my online debacle. I appreciate it! DB

Haha -- I hear ya, I started out with getting the "A History of Violence" steel I originally talked to you about a month or two ago, and now I have 5. Luckily there's only one more that I really want, so I think I've avoided the 'sickness' so far.... it's tempting though.

That's a first where I heard a retailer say you can't walk out with an item without bag. They go by their own rules at WM lol.

You're right! That's why I haven't been to that location yet.
Thankfully, The Porter Ranch store had copies in stock last week that I picked up.
Well my worries became nightmares because I received my movies from WM yesterday and yes they were regular blu rays... That sucked for me had to order 2 more and I hope to get steel books this time if not I will be losing my mind.
Thedon-someone a couple of posts up said the skus may be mixed up online. Others have ordered online, too, and gotten Amarays. You may want to ask someone here or search stores some more instead. Maybe the sku thing was fixed, but just FYI.
