Personally, Battle Royal is the better film, Hunger games is the better book.

Without going into too much detail, I thought the HG film failed to build any sense of suspense (A common Holywood issue). BR on the other hand, doesn't feel like it's in a rush to move forward and the film is better for it.

You like this one? Another title coming very soon you should like. ;) (you might see it live later this week)

Not sure if Play post new deals on a Saturday but we could be waiting a few more days by the look of things. Final Fantasy anyone?

A reminder - please keep the main thread discussion focused on the steelbook or the movie as per forum rules. A bunch of off topic speculatory posts were deleted. Please use the Steelbook Chat/Feedback thread for such discussions. Keep in mind that these main threads have many members subscribing to keep in touch with any breaking news especially for upcoming titles. Thank you for your support and co-operation.

I know this is quite an old film now and a cult classic. Never interested me though. Silly question given how popular this thread seems to be but is it really that good?

I guess it's really to each his own, but suffice to say I was really blown away the first time I watched this film. It's not really a suitable comparison, but think of it as a darker, grittier, more 'realistic' portrayal of the Hunger Games. :)
