Important Group Buy update

Official update for all group buy participants -

The licensing agreement for Black Panther, for unknown reasons, still has not been resolved and because of this Infinity War will now be being released first (roughly early December time). The licensing agreement for Black Panther is looking to be completed around November time but because of the other releases (infinity War, Greatest Showman, Three Billboards), Black Panther will not ship until January 2019 at the earliest.

Infinity War will ship with the same editions (1/4 slip + Box, One Click, DL, SL and full slip)

Group Buy members, we have a couple of options for you -

1. Transfer
Your Black Panther request will automatically be transferred to the same edition to that of Avengers: Infinity War. You will then be guaranteed a spot for Black Panther, which will be charged for again later on in the year (or potentially January 2019)

2. Refund
You can cancel your Black Panther request and be refunded. Please note that should you change your mind afterwards we cannot allow you to repurchase Black Panther. At this time there will not be a further GB for it (however this may change although not guaranteed)

3. Wait it out
Wait for Black Panther to be released. If you decide to wait it out, as a thank you we will enter you into a HDN sponsored prize draw.

The official GB for Avengers: Infinity War won't be live until November.

I will be sending this as a PM to all participants tomorrow too with the relevant instructions.

I’m not at all sad about this decision, it’s so great thah many more will be able to buy at retail! I’m sure there’s a few who would’ve wanted the run to stay more limited, but really, this will sell out in minutes and will because of that demand still be limited enough.

4,000 is a big print run. I don’t think it will sell out in minutes. I would say everyone can pretty much comfortably order a copy.

If it comes in two batches like Kevin said, then obviously the first batch will sell out pretty quick. No one wants to really wait for the second batch!

2nd batch is one clicks so many folks will wait regardless. Waiting doesn’t bother me as blufans always release long after world wide general releases so not like many folks wait purposely for first viewing for a blufans release.

If promoted well on social then while 4K may seem like a lot it’s really not if 1/4 priced decently as that’ll bring in a lot of first time blufans purchasers. Those casual consumers won’t be as interested in the more expensive editions unless serious black panther collectors just getting turned on to this niche collector world of ours.

If it’s just one clicks holding back then the one clickers don’t have a choice but to wait leaving the singles to be snagged first and shipped first. It would be different if it was all mixed on both batches as most would like get the buzz of owning theirs first rather than waiting!

So I guess the likes of me and @rschiks will have to wait and compliment a side order in the time being to keep us indulged
