Important Group Buy update
Official update for all group buy participants -

The licensing agreement for Black Panther, for unknown reasons, still has not been resolved and because of this Infinity War will now be being released first (roughly early December time). The licensing agreement for Black Panther is looking to be completed around November time but because of the other releases (infinity War, Greatest Showman, Three Billboards), Black Panther will not ship until January 2019 at the earliest.

Infinity War will ship with the same editions (1/4 slip + Box, One Click, DL, SL and full slip)

Group Buy members, we have a couple of options for you -

1. Transfer
Your Black Panther request will automatically be transferred to the same edition to that of Avengers: Infinity War. You will then be guaranteed a spot for Black Panther, which will be charged for again later on in the year (or potentially January 2019)

2. Refund
You can cancel your Black Panther request and be refunded. Please note that should you change your mind afterwards we cannot allow you to repurchase Black Panther. At this time there will not be a further GB for it (however this may change although not guaranteed)

3. Wait it out
Wait for Black Panther to be released. If you decide to wait it out, as a thank you we will enter you into a HDN sponsored prize draw.

The official GB for Avengers: Infinity War won't be live until November.

I will be sending this as a PM to all participants tomorrow too with the relevant instructions.

Yes, I am fully aware why a VIP is necessary. Changes need to be considered is what is eligible to become a VIP. As I said, the standard criteria of 35 Blufans is 3 years old now, if I am correct? Things have changed, changes need to be considered...

I am fully aware of your opinion over the loophole :p

Yeah, I agree that changes should be made on who should be a VIP. I have been advocating that everyone re-apply for VIP status and new photos be used. I would say 75 unique copies of every BluFans collection is acceptable. 35 is a very paltry number. Weak sauce! :p

if we end up having a small qty, we may do something different to help on fairness of obtaining.

nothing set in stone, but some things that come to mind are ...

1) if you've never bought a blufans edition from our GBs ... then you are SOL. We would love to help all newcomers, but if we dont have the qty, then we dont have the qty.
2) Create a list of all people who are interested, film a video where dice are rolled 3x , the last time is the multiplier , so say 7 ... then all names go in the randomizer, and we regenerate 7 times .... whatever names from top down with amount of qty we got is who has right to purchase.

just some general thoughts of mine.....

With real limited releases then I fully agree with 1 as bad as that also may sound.
2 could be fun. But also scary and just as stressful as trying on a GB

If you think about it , what 1) does is it helps more so to avoid people who create dub accounts to try and pull that off, or are mostly "fans" of another site where they are just trying to get extra copy etc. on top of what they got there .... all that more so compared to actually just being a meanie and not letting a first timer get a chance.

He's referring to me and if I'm not mistaken then I'm talking to Daz when I say this.

Full disclosure, my name is Craig and a long standing nickname I had through the workplace was Wolfie, I'm not gonna go start telling the story of the nickname cause its not anyone's business

The age old "scalping" conversation. How d you know for a fact I bought something just to sell on ? You don't know people's circumstances so don't just assume but even if I did, what is wrong with that? Your ethics as a collector means in your head you are entitled to any release at face value regardless of what rarity or value it holds post release but the fact is, if you know what something is worth then you're going to sell something for what it's worth. Why would I sell something for dead on face value knowing full well its value so you can go on make a profit out of it? "I've never bought anything to sell on" whatever dude. That's the most classic line I've ever heard. Most people here have bought an extra copy or a one click knowing full well atleast one edition was going to get sold on whether they admit it or not ... And what is wrong with that?

I have never once "bragged" about making profit, if you're talking about that time you asked if I got what I wanted for it and I said yes with a smiling face.. That was to wind you up and I'm glad it obviously did.

I think it's sad that people feel the need to come on here to ***** and "indirectly" name and shame people. In fact it's pathetic.

What I do is my choice, there are no rules against it. What everyone else does is their choice also. I don't sit there screwing or trying to stab people in the back because I disagree with it and atleast I have the balls to stand up and say its me, I'm right here and this is what I've done/do

There are no rules against this anywhere and to point out the odd occasion where I do this on HDN is bull. Is this what this website has become now? @Apollon @digitalbabe @Wreck

there is a big difference between users buying and selling here and there and making money to float other purchases etc. you win some you lose some .... vs. someone who has lots of qty of the same release to move. Some who maybe go in round about ways to acquire qty in like 10+ etc. only to jack price up big time for all of them on ebay. Nothing says you cant do it ... Or GB hosts who abuse power to stack on qty in the double digits for profit etc too. ANd if you do, dont cry foul when people call you out .... own up.

Personally I dont care what anyone does, but if your mission is to make a full blown business of selling steels, then if you dont become a real retailer, then expect people to call you out on it ... just the way stuff goes, if you can take it in stride, then so be it ...

i've done the only reasonable thing and stopped collecting the marvels. haha

but let's all be realistic. lots of people buying these are buying 1) to resell or 2) keeping sealed. someday they'll lose interest and sell/trade them. patience pays off and you can find a good deal. life is about more than just steelbooks

on the other hand it would be a lie to tell anyone they shouldn't collect all of these i bet they look great together, for me, however, I'll have to wait a while

I could not agree more.

I've purchased an extra copy of a blufans title solely to sell on maybe 3 times and I've purchased ALOT of Blufans titles so in the grand scale of things it isn't alot at all. I have no problem standing up and saying so especially when I know alot more people who "scalp" most titles.

My issue is being called out on the sly like I'm some serial offender, doesn't really work when you stand right up and set the record straight

I think it's a good solution. We should do that

Nailed it!

In my opinion
When you have a very limited amount of stock allocated with GB for Blufans and this only happens on rare occasions most times it's easy enough to get from either HDN or BD

IMO you should only be allowed get one of each single edition or 1 x one click regardless which site you use to get a Blufans release when it's a release that is very limited in terms of a GB
A one click has all single editions already

Which site gets more units allocated does not matter IMO but having members getting copies from both sites is not fare on members of both sites that miss out
It's not as if either site will be left with stock as they would be purchased anyway by members who missed out

A lot of HDN members are also members of BD and you do get members who use both sites to get Blufans releases

There is no winning formula and a lot of these issues have already been discussed in the Dr Strange release. However, what has changed is allocating a time period to prevent the madness and bloodbath. It also prevents members easily acquiring editions from both sites as they have the pain of sitting and waiting for potentially 5 hours just like I have to do.

Except I am more eager as I have not secured a copy! Yes there be genuine people that missed out if there’s no specific time, but I see this as a much far effective approach then on the dot time and crazy madness from genuine first buyers and the two side double dippers.

We should not simply keep dismissing the moral ethics involved when members use both sites to acquire rare limited releases and say that’s the way it is. I’m sorry but that is simply wrong. Yes they can do this but it is wrong and you should be ashamed of yourself. It’s not like we are buying extra copies that can easily be ordered, open one and sell one later for a profit etc down the line. We are talking about releases that sell like a bloodbath.

So I am hoping as time passes, we will eventually find a potentially efffecive method to weed out all the site double dippers ordering an identicle rare item from both sites.

There is no perfect solution to this loop hole, someone is always going to miss out on very rare limited editions, all we can do and try at the very least to make it fair for everyone as possible.

I'm a lenti collector and primarily collect Marvel blufans titles, if anyone wants me to use my VIP perk to secure then any Blufans edition on the other site I'm more than happy to as long as it doesn't affect my preorder of Marvel lentis.. So one clicks, full slips and quarter slips are all there that I can "secure" in future, obviously if anyone is interested they pay the forwarding shipping costs on top of the cost of the edition as it would have to be sent to me.

I have no problem helping out members in that regard especially as I don't alot of Blufans other releases and I know alot of people do.

Thanks Craig I will take your offer if I miss out on the one click :joy:

I think the glaringly obvious seller is the one who sells multiple kimchi copies and tends to list them before they've even been shipped out lol.
If someone wants to resell at an inflated price, they generally don't make much out of it anyway after PP and ebay fees.

My main issue is people who keep them sealed and NEVER open them, that's a crime against humanity to keep such beauty behind bars! ;)
