Fox steels from this wave so far have all been matte finished with embossed title & border, can't see them dropping that format here. I've only seen the film once on cable so can't really comment on the aq or vq - the disc will be an upgrade to what I've been used to.

I'm still hoping that they do a Edward scissor hands and do something special for one title, and scrap the border, give it a decent matte job and apply spot gloss.

Few pics of this...looks quite nice. Not glossy but the embossing makes it a little bit more special. I'm tempted, but I hear the audio isn't very good?

Yeah UK is dolby digital 2.0. The French version has a English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 (48kHz, 24-bit)

The embossing looks cool, but I don't see the point in paying any more than £10 for a Fox title. I'm going to wait.

Definitely the best steelbook of the Fox lot, in fact the best one of all of the ones coming out next week that we got in today. The others looked average/were titles I wasn't really interested in but Brazil is one of my favourite films. Saying that, I'm gonna wait 'til it drops below a tenner before I bite, as I was about to get the amaray before this was announced.

Yeah thanks for the pics it looks great, I can't wait to receive it now. I got it for £11.97 on Amazon, bit of a bargain if you ask me considering I don't even need to leave the house to get it

My picture doesn't really do the embossing justice but it's quite nice, raised but not blocky (more pointed/rounded off). Works pretty well with the script text logo of Brazil!

Ahh that looks great! I would've deffo preferred gloss but that design'd look great whatever the finish imo

The design is beautiful but there's no reason for the matte finish. Either way, there's no point in buying this since the audio is Dolby Digital. Sticking with the Criterion release.

I think Fox might have missed a trick here, this steel was calling for a gloss finish, these Fox waves are getting a little boring imo
Film choices are great, just not worth £15 for a £5 film

also, isn't this release the standard edition whereas the Criterion has the extra 20 mins of (i think workprint) footage?

Good LawDD! The recent 20th Century Fox UK's Matte Finishes have become the standard! Anyone who has the Conan the Barbarian Steel or see's the pics above can attest. I never once thought of canceling my pre-order for this and after seeing Kaworu's pics I might order another!
