This thread has been created to provide insight for folks trading and buying. Sometimes knowing that a guy/gal has some or MANY successful trades/sales is good peace of mind.

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE LOTS OF GOOD TRADER RATING FEEDBACK, AND YOU DONT KNOW THEM, THEN PRIVATE MESSAGE a Trading Moderator. We can try to get you the info you need to feel safe and or make a safe trade/purchase!

As we all know, trading is at your own risk. However, we are able to stop many deals from turning sour if you enable us. We have one bad person who has been a scam artist at many HT/Blu-ray sites besides ours.

The posts below are from when this was a Good Traders/Bad Traders list ... from the date this OP has been updated ... this thread will only serve as a Buyer Beware and Hall of Shame for those bad traders out there. If you need info on good traders view their trader rating under their avatar in the post bit (to the left) or PM a Mod.

I suggest you PM a mod for any deal over $75 if you dont know the person, regardless if they have 3 successful feedbacks etc. This is YOUR community as much as it is OURS, and we'll make the time everytime to make it as safe as possible for all.

Added 1/23/2012:

Just a general reminder - If you are experiencing difficulty with a trade at our site, feel free to contact a Trade Moderator, and we can provide suggestions on how to resolve the matter, if the trade took place at our site.

If, despite repeated attempts to resolve the trade/contact the trader, you do not receive any communication, or items, etc, please use the Feedback system in place at the site, or the rest of the community will not be aware of issues with traders. In addition, you have a limited time frame to file Paypal disputes, so please familiarize yourself with that process, just in case, to further protect yourself. In addition, the Staff will take action against accounts for repeat offenders if absolutely necessary.

I haven't sold anything on eBay for a little while, but when I've sold steelbooks I have stated very clearly in the description the postal service to be used and the cost.

I then select the courier option which doesnt set a price and means they HAVE to wait for the invoice before they know what to pay (it doesnt stop people paying before an invoice but they can't argue over cost as this option doesn't show one other than in the main description)

I've never understood all these postings that say £1 postage and then say in the description 'postage is not a £1 it's x'

Not sure if this is the correct thread so my apologies.

I sold a steelbook on ebay last weekend in which i clearly put the postage prices in the ad in bright red letters and to wait for me to send the buyer an invoice. The auction finished and before i could send the buyer an invoice he had paid and sent me strict postage instructions.

Normally i would'nt be fussed about the postage difference and would just post out the item any way but it was the fact he emailed telling me to post in a box only with plenty of bubble wrap (the package is about £4.70 to post compared to ebays stupid maximum £2.25), this message kind of p***ed me off so i refunded the money and sent him an invoice with the postage options but i have yet to receive payment even after 2 messages reminding him.

Do i have the right to offer the steelbook to another buyer as technically he did pay

I wonder if this is the same guy I dealt with recently he had the exact same demands even though it clearly stated this is how it would be sent in the description anyway. Luckily got the invoice out before he could pay so got the full postage but yeah just the way he demanded the packaging to be done was put across pretty rudely. On the plus side, the sale went well so just a rudey not a negative Nancy!

I always set the postage to £2.25 as the highest I can and put in the description in large type it will actually be £4 because I've found if I chose 'courier' I can't then do worldwide postage. If I'm just missing somethng and I can select courier and also post worldwide it would be a godsend as the number of people I have who don't read the description and then ask me why the postage has gone up is ridiculous.

One guy bought a steelbook then shouted at me that the postage was too much and it should be free (come on you knew when you bid it was at the very least £2.25) and I could keep the steelbook - don't bid it on then - duh!

I have this all the time, because I can't sell FSK18 steelboks on ebay.de but have to go to ebay.co.uk with these. I clearly put 3 UKP for postage in the auction text, but people don't read that far and just paypal the amount + 2.25 for postage (and then later ask me for tracking numbers and why it's not in China/Singapore/South Korea... yet after 4 days

What I have been doing over the last couple of months is to just add 2 UKP to the auction price and just accept 2.25 as postage....

So there seems to be an issue with JEREMY13130 on blu-ray forums.

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=204614

He may have dealt with others here. So far he 2 other members and myself are waiting for a package...

Thread looks identical to one on AVF by a member called Snake 1997. Not sure if any members had issues with him on there. Only has 1 positive feedback.

Initially claimed he had R&J IP and then said he had traded it for some of his high wants.

I exchanged some PMs about an AVP steel he was after - he pulled out in the end but seemed genuine and decent enough but guess that doesn't say much as it was just an exchange of messages...

Hopefully they catch on to him and doesn't screw anyone else over.

I exchanged e-mails daily and promptly which seemed legit. I did receive one of my package but thought it was fishy to not send 2 of them in one. Just seeing how 3 other people are waiting for packages (2 have been about a month) , Getting banned from blu-ray forum and having his email account that you communicated with deleted raises a Giant red flag.

I can't read french but this is his proof of postage.

and only took a picture of 1 box... which already came but said another one similar to it is on the way....

we had initially agreed to a trade involving his romeo and juliet, and upon seeing that he has no feedback, i asked him to ship first. he declined, and i hesitantly pulled off the trade. for once i am glad that i listened to my gut

There was only 1 trade on this forum and we got that under control.

Now, one of our members here is also a member at a French forum, where JEREMY13130 is still a member. If you want this members info, shoot me a pm and I'll be glad to share it - he may be able to help you.

What a complete and utter scumbag! Glad you listened to your gut. I asked him to send first as well.

For established traders on this forum, we always maintain that you be conservative with new traders.

I'm glad all of you thought about this before you sent anything.

Also remember, thats what the Active / Pending section is for...so we can spot some of this suspicious behavior before it gets out of control.

If any of you are doing trades in bd.com forums, I recommend not to trade with st33lb00k. I recently traded with him, received steelbook he send me pretty damaged and he basically turns other cheek and says "deal with it". Those are not his actual words, but he acts like that, and he isn't willing to do anything about it.

also in the BD forums, hope he does not come here, brando29.

He was just banned there. My first scammer

hey folks, a reminder about the French member, JEREMY13130 that has been banned from this forum. I've been notified that he has re-appeared under a different login name of snake1977 on other French forums.

Please be aware that he might try to rejoin this forum.

As a reminder, if ANY NEW member with little to no feedback asks you to send at the same time for a trade, and reports to have a rare item for trade, please be cautious.

It is always best to be cautious with any new trader.

Thank you.
