This thread has been created to provide insight for folks trading and buying. Sometimes knowing that a guy/gal has some or MANY successful trades/sales is good peace of mind.

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE LOTS OF GOOD TRADER RATING FEEDBACK, AND YOU DONT KNOW THEM, THEN PRIVATE MESSAGE a Trading Moderator. We can try to get you the info you need to feel safe and or make a safe trade/purchase!

As we all know, trading is at your own risk. However, we are able to stop many deals from turning sour if you enable us. We have one bad person who has been a scam artist at many HT/Blu-ray sites besides ours.

**************************

The posts below are from when this was a Good Traders/Bad Traders list ... from the date this OP has been updated ... this thread will only serve as a Buyer Beware and Hall of Shame for those bad traders out there. If you need info on good traders view their trader rating under their avatar in the post bit (to the left) or PM a Mod.

I suggest you PM a mod for any deal over $75 if you dont know the person, regardless if they have 3 successful feedbacks etc. This is YOUR community as much as it is OURS, and we'll make the time everytime to make it as safe as possible for all.

Added 1/23/2012:

Just a general reminder - If you are experiencing difficulty with a trade at our site, feel free to contact a Trade Moderator, and we can provide suggestions on how to resolve the matter, if the trade took place at our site.

If, despite repeated attempts to resolve the trade/contact the trader, you do not receive any communication, or items, etc, please use the Feedback system in place at the site, or the rest of the community will not be aware of issues with traders. In addition, you have a limited time frame to file Paypal disputes, so please familiarize yourself with that process, just in case, to further protect yourself. In addition, the Staff will take action against accounts for repeat offenders if absolutely necessary.

Hi ninth, all difficulties with this trader on this forum have been resolved and the members have received their items.

If the trade happened here and it was delayed, you are more than welcome to leave the trader neutral feedback, because in the end you did get your item.

However, it appears to me from your note that the trade did not occur on this forum, and unfortunately, the lack of mod involvement in other spots often has members visit here to ask for help and ask me or another trading mod to assist with a solution - but as a general policy, HDN does not police trading activity on other forums.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, I just wanted to know if I should do anything here to warn other members. I just want to keep it a tight knit and safe community. But I wasn't sure so I didn't post his username just to be safe.

A member here, galactus has been banned for sending items to a person that is not even a member of this board and was not expecting any packages.

Our current theory is that this user was attempting to build up some quick feedback on purchases and then use that feedback to take advantage of members here.

galactus was purchasing slipcovers at low prices, so this alert will be posted in the slipcover and the steelbook forum.

Likely location for this user is in the Netherlands, was sending items to a person in Belgium.

Thanks to Pieter V for the heads up on this strange situation, if you have any outstanding purchases, put a claim in with paypal ASAP.

We can't get it solved because you are unwilling to follow my suggestions.

Secondly, trading disagreements are not what this list is for. We talk about intentional malicious traders on this list.

You were not a victim of a scammer.

Well, ap. I am a victim, whatever he is a scammer or bad trader. Has anyone heard that the victim should make the compensation? Actually, I did, but he asked for more. That is why I cannot follow that suggestion.

You said he is not a malicious trade and I am so picky. If all is my fault, what is the problem of disclosing everything? I don't mind that.

Andy I presume the forum member who blantantly stole my item (and other forum member I believe) can now be added to this list...

EDIT :- Thanks for adding HighDefSamurai to the list...

FYI-Top_cat2 added to the list in OP, fyi. Numerous members never received items or refunds. Despite numerous attempts at e-mail communication, the trades (some of them since last year, as we've discovered), remain open, and the member has been banned for failure to provide items/refunds. As noted in other spots on the forum, the account can be considered for future reinstatement if we receive the requested info that all trades have been resolved.

Not every bad trader intentionally does this, there are always reasons behind the scenes what is going on in their lives, but in black and white the goods have failed to arrive. What a shame...

Hey guys, believe me-I was not happy to have to add him to this list and did so only after months and months of urging him to act, and I am aware of info not known on forum. Unfortunately almost a dozen people are out a substantial amount of money, and out of fairness to both buyer and seller, we can't expect them to have just accepted that. We all know things happen, but we can't just expect our traders to hold the bag for almost half a year with no resolution. After a while options for recovering their money are slim to none due to a variety of factors. And as mentioned to him as well, I am willing to give him a second chance if these trades are resolved-in the meantime, however it was appropriate to act on behalf of the traders.

I know a few people have commented already, but wanted to add my own surprise that Daz is on this list - one of the first people I traded with here and a genuinely nice guy :(

Hope things get resolved for all concerned.
