im not 100% sure regarding running time, but the difference should be spotted in the toolshed scene, when you see that part when matrix chops the guys arm off does it show him dropping it on the floor, and taking his rifle, if it does then its the directors cut

That depends on what you mean by Uncut.

This is the uncut US theatrical version. The UK dvd cut the neck break scene on the plane and most/all of the shed scene. The blu ray contains these scenes now, but so does the standard UK blu ray as well, not just the steelbook.

However, there is an extended cut which has at least one extended scene after the man's arm is cut off in the shed scene. However, to my knowledge, this has ONLY ever been released in the US on dvd, no blu ray in the world contains this version.

But to clarify, this steelbook contains the uncut US theatrical version.

Just opened my copy to notice scratches in the paint on the back of the steel

I ain't seen this film since I was a about 10 so I had to have this in my collection. PQ is good for a 28 year old film. Has for the sound it's not the best DTS-HD MA track I've heard but again not bad for an old film.

I did have about 5 chips on it, so it was not just the standard defect that people are talking about

I got told to send pictures of my commando, its got a decent size scratch and a paint chip on the back, my other copy isn't as bad so I'm keeping that but I really hate the way zavvi runs things, you only have 14 days to return items and by sending pictures and waiting on a reply that can take up a couple of days and then once they receive pictures they reply and say let us know if you want a full refund or partial refund and that takes up another few days, last time that happened they never even got back to me, shocking way to run things imo
