Got mine just now. Unfortunately has a few minor paint issues and a small scratch on the back. I just really hate how these cheap finish steels get damaged so easily (pre-shrink wrapped too).

im not 100% sure regarding running time, but the difference should be spotted in the toolshed scene, when you see that part when matrix chops the guys arm off does it show him dropping it on the floor, and taking his rifle, if it does then its the directors cut

it does show him cut the arm off then pick up a machine gun

Got mine. No dents or paint chips (still sealed though... but it does have a weird blotch on the back where it's scratched in a large machine like fashion.

However, save for that... super nice looking steel.

I'm with you. In my opinion a steelbook with a glossy finish looks better.
We already have members reporting paint chips, b/c of the matte finish.

The entire Fox wave has paint chips on the back of the steel. Just got mine today.
