Another update from zavvi (after I sent them the pictures of the damage)

I have just spoken to our buying team, and they have advised me that we are expecting new stock of these Steelbooks within the next few weeks. However due to their popularity we wouldn’t be able to guarantee that we would be able to get a copy sent out to you. If you would like to return this to us then we would try to ensure a replacement was sent out to you, however as previously advised we wouldn’t be able to guarantee this. If we were unable to get a replacement sent out to you then a refund would be processed, and you would receive an email to let you know that this had been completed.

So its gone from I will get a replacement to I may get a replacement. Ill just keep an eye out if it does come back in stock and buy another I guess

Is it that they never sold 4k copies to begin with or will there be extra copies now in circulation????

It may be similar to how Play.com dealt with Fox releases... they never took on the full allocation into their warehouse to begin with... so there may be part of the print run still in the warehouse waiting to be sent to Zavvi.

I don't think Commando had only 4K. I believe it was never officially disclosed.

Based on comments I think zavvi is expecting some copies in stock and I really hope zavvi is selling them on its website. If zavvi sell them on only its outlet on ebay or play they are unavailable for international members like me.
