Hello everyone. My copy of this also came with a couple of paint chips and small dent to the back. After complaining and then emailing pictures to Zavvi they've responded this morning saying that they are not expecting any more of these and have offered me a discount instead

I'd take that with a grain of salt. After receiving my MIB trilogy with scratching (think steel wool swirls, not a regular hairline type of thing) in multiple places, they also told me it would not come back in stock and offered me a measly 4 pounds off.
I accepted as there was no other option - even waiting another full day to verify with their customer service rep one last time that they would not get it in stock again and was assured that was the case.

All in all, it was a 5-day process in order to get my refund. Two days after that, MIB Trilogy was back in stock on the site for weeks.

Back on topic... I'm going commando!

I received mine in the USA today and it looks ok although I haven't opened it. I have to say though, like the Robocop release, region locked B, SERIOUSLY?

and someone is taking the p*** selling one on ebay.com for $69.99

I can't believe people are still moaning about region locking. It's so cheap and easy to get a region free player now that if you are a big film fan or really into Steelbook collecting, there really is no excuse not to get one. There may be a small initial outlay but it's worth it because you know you can buy any Steelbook you like without having to worry if it will play or not.

Well, snooloui, some of us don't want CHEAP region free blu ray players. I happen to have an Oppo region free player, but I use it more for the 3D and SACD capability. My region A locked 400 disc megachanger is where the bulk of my blu rays live, and that is where I would prefer the Commando disc was too.

What I'm trying to say is that Commando is a 28 year old movie that's already been released all over the world. So what is the point of regional coding on this disc? I can understand 'The Sweeney' being region B, the movie hadn't been released in the USA when the UK blu ray was released. Give me a good reason why Commando or Robocop should have region coding though. That said, Commando and Robocop are both at the bottom end of the blu ray quality scale.

It's probably just a little bit easier to use the existing disc master with whatever region coding it has, and what region is printed on the existing media artwork. Can't see that it would require a huge effort to change, but maybe there are lots of old discs in their warehouses?

Yeah, I received my copy yesterday in Peru and was surprised by the big B on it. Well, I believe I'll never open this one, no need to. I wanted to watch it though. :(
