I can't believe there isn't a thread in here strictly for Beer. Well now there is.

So I'm going to Phoenix and this store is about 3 miles from the house I am renting. I need some recommendations of beer they sell. I'm looking for Hoppy beers please. I've had a few of them they sell but not allot. HELP ME OUT!

NICE! you flying down to pick them up or do you have someone picking them up for you?

we all should have had horhay pick up some for us

I am picking up Splax's Friday along with mine. I wouldn't have minded picking up everyone's order, but it was tough getting through and even placing the beers in your cart was a pain.

Its not craft beer but its close enough. Another expensive hobby. Kuhnhenn just released their Bride of Cinnamonster Mead so I stopped in a little while ago and picked up a couple bottles

its been awhile since i went beer shopping since i dropped a bunch of $$$ on cbs and five, but i did a some light shopping and came away with this stuff.

i actually got surly wet last week, but i threw it in there just to make you guys drool a bit more

from left to right:

bells special double cream stout
odell ipa (one of the best ipa's ive ever had!)
new belgium snow day (this replaced 2 below so i have to find out if its worthy)
founders harvest ale
surly wet
sprecher black bavarian (milwaukee's best beer?)
bells java stout
summit black ale (#8 in their unchained series)
o'so rusty red

most of these are singles, except for the wet, harvest ale, and the odell ipa

I got em!! I looked for remaining stock at the store but no luck. I looked for that ISO beer for oc since he asked me a while back and they were out too. I definitely will be going back to that place again since ill be moving closer next week.

I went down to columbus, oh to watch the osu vs wisconsin game. it was an incredible game for anyone who saw it on tv (i was cheering for OSU!).

anyways, met a guy that messaged me on BA and we did an in person trade. pretty much a $4$ with stuff from WI for stuff from OH

I came away with this:

i found the boulevard double wide in a store that was next to a gas station i stopped at in indiana.

i think i could find the GL stout in milwaukee, but he couldn't find one of the other beers i asked for so he got me that, which im pretty content with as its a great RIS.

Ive had all except Columbus IPA. They are all really good. I hear Columbus IPA is fantastic. Let me know how it is.

Double-Wide is one of my favorites from the Smokestack Series. My two favorites are Tank 7 and Saison-Brett. Also, found out that the Schlafly Citrus Wit you were wanting came out late last week at the brewery, and will be hitting the stores sometime this week.

went to the liqour store today to finish off off's trade, and i came across a row of these bad boys:

there were about 5 left after i snagged these two. im gonna try one of them this weekend and if its really good ill go back and snag some more!

they werent too expensive either, around $11 each.

i know splax you got one of these in your rare beer club shipment, did you try it yet? theres only a few reviews on BA right now but so far most people think its pretty darn good.

no i havent tried it yet. If i get a second will. I have two turtle doves, and 3 french hens as well. I am gonna try to complete the vertical since they are release one a year. Ill probably never get partridge in a pear tree unless I give up my first born lol

I'm going to be brewing this weekend, and I love how dirty this sounds, but I plan on brewing a really good brown (ale) on Sunday. I'll probably try to get close to Surly Bender. Might even split the batch, add coffee, and try to get close to Coffee Bender.
