I find it extremely rude that people attack the only person who has truly acted as a protector of the steelbook collector community no matter what forum you have been on! I try my hardest to make things happen in many forms of the industry from studios, retailers, marketers, and so forth. Phone calls, conference calls, live meetings, etc.

I dont do it solely for HDN, I've always done it to keep the passion alive in the hobby that we love of steelbook collecting. No matter what forum is a person's "home" forum.

Most of you have not even been on this forum for a year let alone even been collecting since the beginning of BD steelbooks. If you knew of my accolades you wouldnt dare question what i say nor would you be so rude to want to call me out on if I were wrong "one" time.

Respect Wreck! he stopped 3 exact reprints just last year ... 2 of which being grails, and the other I'm sure a soon to be grail. (The Raid UK)

I see him helping on the Indy steels and he says KOTCS wont be same art ... man...

Everyone will know soon enough what the actual details are for the case for this release-Marketing collaterial, whether printed or online is also sometimes incorrect as evidenced by a recent campaign by another retailer, where a correction was issued. It happens. If we are given info that indicates other specifics about this release, it will be posted as usual, if we are able to.

In the meantime, please show respect to your fellow members, per forum guidelines at HDN. No matter what, at the end of the day, this is just a movie. Please continue to show common courtesy to each other, as we would hopefully all expect if any members were having an 'in person' conversation.

Back on topic

I really hope Justin Bieber gets his life back on track. :hilarious:

In all seriousness though, it's not such a big deal that new members have to come to this forum and try to bring it down. We will move on with or without them. We'll keep collecting these films and steelbooks that we love. I have a tremendous amount of respect for members such as Wreck, apsmith21, digitalbabe, ash333, Drum18, and biscuitnoir. If I am missing any of our other loyal and important members, I am sorry. You all are a blessing to us all.:scat:

Now let's look forward to getting a great film in Django Unchained, regardless of the outcome. I am already signed on for a copy from Canada, but I'll get the Best Buy release too when it is released.

it will be a major bummer if this isn't available in steel.

amazon.uk shows the steel as R2. there have been times in the past where a blu was listed as R2 and ended up being All Region. can't name movies off the top of my head, but i visit there regularly, so I'm sure of that. if there is no BB Steel, i'll have to hope that will be the case again.

Really should of had the wife get me an all region player last christmas.

Darn!

I sent a message to bb inquiring if it will be a steel or not. Not much help though This is their response (my message to the at the bottom)

Hi Mkwanta,

Good day to you. You have reach Best Buy Customer Service Team.

Regarding your inquiry about the movie Django Unchained released date April 16/13. I did check the web site and it does not shows about Steelbook. What we can see in the web site that's the movie will be released on April 16/13.

Sincerely,

Aldwin

Best Buy Customer Service Team.

Hello,

I just wanted to inquire and ask if the bluray movie Django Unchained, which is set to be released 4/16/13 will be in Steelbook(tm) collectable packing?
I know it doesnt say so in the listing but it has been heavily rumored to be a steelbook. And there was even an early listing on bestbuy.com that said "STEELBOOK-PRESELL" I just want some clarification if you can help. Thanks!

SMH Seriously. Like I didnt see that for myself when I checked the website, as I mentioned in my original message. Guess they are just as much in the dark as us. Not looking good for BB release. And they spelled my name wrong! lol

Coming from the UK, I can't say how awesome it is knowing that so many people have our backs in terms of steelbooks that aren't even being released in their country.
You know how awesome it makes a UK collector feel that a US mod is working with a UK retailer on a title that many US retailers aren't even remotely interested in considering. Just thanks Wreck, Aps, DB, BN....etc

So yeah.....how about this BB possible release which I know nothing about......

"Thank You Wreck!"

It's a damn shame that Wreck would receive any negative, disrespectful crap for anything he's ever done!

NO ONE will ever help you more to bring you a great website and forum to provide you access and information, to virtually every release in the world of collectable packaging for blu-ray discs, film related collectables, etc.

NO ONE is more knowledgeable or more up to date than Wreck regarding releases. If he doesn't know something, he does everything humanly possible to find answers. Answers to products... NOT RELEASED, MANY TIMES NOT MANUFACTURED YET, NO PRE-PRODUCTION PHOTOS AVAILABLE, NO PRINT INFORMATION MADE AVAILABLE YET!

It's amazing how much information he gathers to help keep everyone informed! Many times, the result of the relationships he has established within the industry. An industry that respects the hell out of him and knows how valuable he is to them.

It's equally amazing how accurate Wreck is when you see the final result of a particular release. Especially, considering all the possible changes, alterations, cancellations, evolution of a release, etc. that can and do happen during the course of normal business.

Changes that Wreck has nothing to do with. With limited influence other than providing businesses positive insight and what their customers want.

This is not an issue if Wreck is right or wrong! He doesn't make this information up, throw crap out there with the endless premature speculation. Someone passed information on to him, at the time that, may have been accurate or not, but always subject to change.

Now, Wreck can sit back and let the guessing game go on, or try to find SOME information and pass it along until he hears or learns of an update. Personally, I love what he and others pass along when they learn of it. They always update us as soon as they hear anything... so that we learn of the change.

Every new thread regarding a release, people ask the same questions wanting particulars for something that hasn't even been been manufactured yet.

So, what's this crap about now?

Someone, trusted and or credible, gave Wreck information that may have changed or been inaccurate?

I for one appreciate EVERYTHING he and his amazing staff do for ALL of YOU and myself! If you do, please make it known to Wreck and ALL of the staff!

Every time I look in the Group Buy section, I see the same people posting Group Buys for International members for US and Canadian releases, UK, German, French, etc. hosts posting Group Buys for US, Canadian, and International members. Some individuals don't realize the extent of all their hard work, time, trouble, inconvenience, and expense to help you and further this website and forum.

Don't take these amazing people and all this goodwill for granted! This doesn't come around every day in this world!

First, Thank You... Andy, Drum, Digital Babe, and the entire amazing staff of Hi-Def Ninja Forums and All the Group Buy Hosts and Helpers and Membership of this amazing website and forum! You ALL know what you have built and continually work your asses off for!

And to you, Wreck.

I am so sorry for the way a few have treated you. I greatly appreciate everything you have done to help so many.

This has been so petty and ridiculous.

I respect and admire what you have built with your friends.

It's a damn shame anyone could find anything negative in what you do for us.

petty and rediculous rear their heads in any environment. they stem from selfishness and an inability to be thankful.

i advise ignoring such things and continue with thoughtful discussion, which is why most of us are here.

that said::::

i can't check out django steel in group buys yet as i'm a new member and don't have 30 posts yet. i'll work on that as i'm a pretty busy guy with my job, music, website, and household. usually don't like to post just to increase my count. but i'd like to check out the group buys thread. maybe in a couple days.
