For someone who hasn't seen the movie, and as far as I know of the movie he is the Law taking care of business, and Type A with him on front and the city behind him with blood splatter, when I look at back artwork of only the dirty feel of the city and the continuation of more blood splatter feels more gritty. It feels like things are out of control.

I just feel like the design is better without the Girl Visually, she softens the back artwork. We have Dredd full of Blood front Artwork and he looks like it isn't the beginning of his day, and she basically look like she is coming out of the shower

The artwork with Olivia Thirlby [i'm assuming that's her?] is far superior to the other. Type B all the way. Not even close.

She is a big part of the movie, big part... her softening it up a bit matches the movie because she balanced out Dredd while also coming into her own and a badass in her own right.

I know it's completely unrealistic but how awesome would it be if it included the original movie with Sly Stallone,.

Thankfully looking at here and Facebook, B will be the winning art!
Smart voters. That would be the only way i'd want to include it with the Mondo version if if it was type B.

Then I suggest you watch the film then before making assumptions about the art. She's a major part of this film, and for me should feature on any related art to this film in a prominent way.

I was making an observation from someone who hasn't seen the movie, But if she is a big part of the movie and the artwork does reflect the ESSENCE of the movie, thank I might agree with you.

tbh A or B both are nice...but if in the movie she is often Dirty like him, she shouldn't be that clean on the cover... if her character is one to be that clean looking in the movie, than I'd agree. But just visually, I do like Type A as it is Minimal Artwork, represents a dirty City and for someone who hasn't seen the movie it is appealing.

It's hard to explain without spoiling it but it's a character growth story arc for her and so she starts off "soft/clean" rookie based and so it fits in that sense.

I see what you're saying though how it's so contrasting but that also works in a lot of ways to have contrast.

Type B is a solid representation of the movie in my opinion. I've seen it 3 times so far. And type A didn't even leave any impression on me whatsoever. It was all type B when first looking at it.

I like Both, but maybe after seeing the movie I will get it more why you guys are saying Type B is a better Artwork. But when I look at the Votes, it is pretty close, only 30 votes difference 45 to 55%

Here it's reasonably close, but on Facebook Type B is winning by a mile FYI - as votes both here and there are being taken into account B is winning rather comfortably at the moment.

I for one will be happy with either A or B and will be getting this regardles.

I agree that Anderson is very important (and pretty cool) character in the movie and should be present on the artwork tho

I'm the same, I really don't mind which art is chosen in this case. I'm more interested in whether it'll have gloss finish.

Take the front and back as individual pieces of art. The front looks good from an aesthetic point of view with Dredd in the center, no other objects are sneaking in as well. The back is awkward because 1) Anderson isn't in the center, clashing with the front and 2) On its own it doesn't work as well because she's on the edge of one side and the building is on the edge of the other (but taking up more space than her head). Also, artwork A works on its own with the front and back as one piece of art - the building is slightly to the right, closer to Dredd (following the rule of thirds):

Smart voters.

If your posts were directed at me, I don't think I was being a dumb "hater". I tried to explain why I prefer Type A from a design point-of-view.

Exactly. The main reason I've seen for people wanting artwork B here and on Facebook is to have Anderson on it - not because it's a good design.

She is a big part of the movie, big part...

This is exactly what I was talking about ^^^

I for one really like this artwork - both versions - as it's quite unique in comparison to all the other releases which have had similarities with other releases. I'd prefer the Anderson version myself but I'd be in the market either way as long as it's a 2-disc version with separate discs for 2D/3D... otherwise I'll stick with my JP steelbook and FR 3D disc
