I know it won fair and that the majority got what they wanted. But the majority don't know as much about graphic design as the designers themselves (an exception being Whiplash, where the majority made a better choice than the director). But that wasn't the majority/designers, it was the majority/director, who I also don't think should choose (see Only God Forgives).
I'm both a web developer & a designer; something I've been doing professionally since 2005.
I liked B better. Just because you like something better doesn't mean you're right and everyone else is wrong nor does it mean every 'designer' thinks the one you liked is best.

Fact is, it was created by a designer too and they wouldn't have submitted it as an option if they didn't think it was worthwhile.

Maybe, but the majority of people who will actually buy this are not graphic designers so who gives a f***. It's important the buyers get what they want.

I'm sure there are plenty who voted that understand design or even have qualifications in the subject including members on here. The designers input is not invaluable, plenty steels get made with terrible art that someone had to design, so their opinions on what is art is relative. The public voted on what they want to spend their money on, thats perfectly acceptable. If a few who "think" the designers choice should come first thats fair enough, but they certainly don't know better, and both of there choices were designed by a commercial designer, all Nova did was ask us which we would prefer. Rather than a straight art comp where hundreds of designs get submitted and the winner normally isn't the one anyone wanted.

There definitely are designers in the majority, but the majority aren't designers. They just want Anderson on there somewhere. If there was an Option C with Ma-Ma instead of the Peach Trees building it probably would have beat out Option B :p I've said my piece, obviously it's an unpopular opinion - it's literally a minority opinion. Each time I've brought it up it gets immediately emotional, so I'll bow out for now.

For what's it's worth. I think you make a fair point. I also prefer A. Negative space gives the subject space to breathe, visually.
