Looking at those pictures, I still believe the artwork is actually printed. I think they purposely just added the silver border to try and make it look more stylish or something. Whatever it turns out to be, I'll still be getting it.

I think if you can get it cheap its worth buying just stick your USA disc in.

I managed to talk myself into ordering both this and the one with the CD from Amazon.fr. With the Canadian FS slip version sourced too, my Drive collection will be complete

I'm staying away from the US amaray. The art is tacky. Might still get this one. I wanted the version with the 5 songs, but if I'm not opening it (due to the forced subs), I'll probably just get the standard steelbook.

I may well be ordering this version,despite the forced subs. As i already own the UK steelbook the subs aren't a problem, as i can stick to viewing that copy.

So do we have confirmation on the french steels looking different. If you look at the pictures on amazon the one with the cd has slightly different artwork. The spine is a different color as well. I orderd both just in case.

Unless in a paper sleeve, the cd inside would need a tray so it should be diff in that sense I suppose. Ultimately I presume the qty is much more limited in the cd version as the steel is probably the same and thus from the same batch. So they may only press up X amount of cd version while they do 10x that amount in regular. etc.

The first steelbook without CD, is a picture months ago. The steelbook artwork with CD is a more recent picture. Where you can see the grey finish on the front.

This was the very first picture from the steelbook. All pictures are showing this edition.

Good choice. The French have really given other countries a run for their money over the last few months. They are getting some damn nice looking steelbooks.

You can't go wrong with the exclusive French artwork.
