I have to say that the quality of the steelbook is much better than the bullet one, but all of them are not 100% minty mint if inspect them really carefully. Now the problem is not about the condition, it is if you can find a copy at all. Some members even want to buy the two heavily dented copies off me.
Now I am having the problem myself that is I can't get the replacement of two special edition sealed copies with BLUFANS since they are completely out of this.
any my group buy members care about the open copies?

One guy in ebay Canada's got 3 copies for a BIN price of $130 each if anyone is still interested. The same guy has got 5 copies of Batman Begins, and is asking for offers.

Finally received mine and few others for friends. I would say the QC is rather bad.

So, my friends here. Please be patience and I'll get that fixed, just hold your horses for a little while.
As most of them are with manufacturer paint chip, I think it's still acceptable to me. But these are too much to swallow.

Yes, that's what i read from the blufans forum as well. Only first 500 will have the booklet. And its very much possible that it's sealed inside the steelbook.

We must be damn lucky as we are like almost at the end of the line to get our steelbook.

So friends, get them later may not be so bad after all.

OK, let me try to sort this out. So, the first 500 (according to some) comes with a booklet, but later ones do not. But it doesn't seem to be a hard rule of thumb because all yours numbered 700+ do come with books. Now these books, can either be sealed inside the case,as I've herd, or it is outside the case like yours. A brand new copy can either come sealed (as described in ebay auctions) or it can come unsealed like all of yours. Also, it may (or may not) come with scratches and dents (depending on the luck of the draw). And lastly, this is just the "first wave", can I assume that there will be at least a second wave to this release? or is their "claim" of 1000 firm? Does some also come in blue or green instead of white too? lol, I kid. I kid.

I believe a got everything, I think.

This is a mess!! Kevin just shipped my two copies and he told me the one with the DTS sticker is the one with the booklet. Makes me wonder if my copy of LTBF is one of the first 500 with the booklet because it also has the DTS sticker. i have seen some on ebay that do not have the sticker. Oh well...

Here is the booklet situation:

the initial plan is having only 500 booklets and first 500 special art disc design.
However, there is a miscalculation on presale. And many members at Blufans complain about the nonbooklet treatment, so blufans reprinted a 200 something numbers booklet to ease the situation. The number of steelbook itself is still 1000, among this 1000, there are 700 something with booklets. Only 500 with special disc art which is black and white. And only the steelbooks supplied to HDN group buy are factory sealed because I requested it and I feel it is more formal for collectors than an unsealed condition. And the cost of factory sealed are in the calculated group buy price. So the sealed copies are rarer. I hope that will clear some confusion.
And btw, the Rio steelbook sample will be posted in couple days.
And it should be around the early Sept.
And it will probably be last steelbook with 1000 numbers from Blufans.
I guess Scanavo China is taking lots of heats from it's headquater.
Next blufans exclusive will be a metal box with 1000 numbers only ,the title could be the choice of Speed or Edward scissorhand.

Seems like this release is all over the place. I really don't know what I would be getting if I did decide to get this. Apparently, theres different disk art on some that are not on others. A $300 valuation was thrown in my face a month ago, but I find out that you can have these for $130 (maybe less because sellers are taking offers). Theres alot of general craziness going on here. Who knows, maybe some of you will find a coupon for a free extra large peperoni and Italian sausage pizza from Dominos inside the case lol.

Im not prepared to pay too high so ill have to hope i get it at a decent price
