This is the most gorgeous SB of the year. Mines No 32 with booklet. I didn't realise there were different discs as well. I've got the blank and white disc.

If you can get one at a reasonable price, do it, as it is a beauty.

Here is the booklet situation:

the initial plan is having only 500 booklets and first 500 special art disc design.
However, there is a miscalculation on presale. And many members at Blufans complain about the nonbooklet treatment, so blufans reprinted a 200 something numbers booklet to ease the situation. The number of steelbook itself is still 1000, among this 1000, there are 700 something with booklets. Only 500 with special disc art which is black and white. And only the steelbooks supplied to HDN group buy are factory sealed because I requested it and I feel it is more formal for collectors than an unsealed condition. And the cost of factory sealed are in the calculated group buy price. So the sealed copies are rarer. I hope that will clear some confusion.
And btw, the Rio steelbook sample will be posted in couple days.
And it should be around the early Sept.
And it will probably be last steelbook with 1000 numbers from Blufans.
I guess Scanavo China is taking lots of heats from it's headquater.
Next blufans exclusive will be a metal box with 1000 numbers only ,the title could be the choice of Speed or Edward scissorhand.

Thanks for the update, despite the frustrations due to impatience and excitement for these blufans releases I think I may speak for the majority on here saying their titles are really appreciated and add something extra to this hobby of ours.

On another note Edward Scissorhands - Wow EEK!

Unfortunately I'm not at home so I can't, however if some has a very accurate set of scales, could they weigh them so we have comparative weights in the OP. I have a copy of each and the booklet copy IS definitely heavier. If buying sealed copy off someone then you can ask them to provide you with an exact weight.

With booklet - 227 grams

Without booklet - 191 grams

Give or take a few grams :)

That Jsrule dude is who I bought 2 copies of Moulin Rouge and 2 copies of Romeo & Juliet from a year ago. I shoulda bought the 3rd set he had. Anyways, he gets my highest recommendation.

Since I missed the GB I bought one from Jsrule (a few months ago).
It came sealed and mint, below 500, with booklet and black&white disc.

Im with you stevo,
Ive bought some steels off this Jsrule in the past and found that, of all my ebay transactions this dude is no.1. Ive asked questions re-guards to the steels he has and every time he's got back to me quickly with not only the information i required but more.
The steels ive recieved from him have arrived here in Australia almost bomb proof/scratch/dent free...And postage was exactly what he claimed.
How he gets these extra copies?..Don't know..Don't care..Maybe he trades/with other members of groups or something.
open your eye's there are members here that do buy extra copies to sell or trade...If your angry  then maybe you should direct it in that direction...PERSONALLY im fine with it...
As for me im going to look up ebay right now and see if he has any more copies left......I suggest if you missed out on one you should do the same....:scat:

Ahemm... he's been seen actively at Blufans forums.
Collecting many copies of Mouline Rough and Romeo Juliet from members there. :hilarious:
So, he can resell them at higher price.... :hilarious:
As I mentioned, all Blufans release are listed on a sales site like Ebay. So anyone can of course buy as many copies as you like so long as you could afford them. :naughty:

This release is indeed beautiful, if it's not because of some "basic mistake" they make. This should be the most legendary steelbook release apart from LTBF. The artwork (especially the butterfly effect) is so so cool, even with the manufactured defect paint chip here and there I'm still quite happy with it overall.

Yeah but how did he get ahold of so many copies when only our Gb are supposed to be sealed etc??

So thats where he got R&J, and Moulin! That wiley devil! He sold 1 set for me for $120 each, and a second set for $140 each....... why I oughta, wait a minute, they're worth over $500 each nowadays. OK, I'm feeling lot better now.

You got a good deal! With hindsight, of course. :D

Yes, no one really knows how things can turn out. I try to base what is, or what will be valuable based on previous auctions, and other factors. These two ranked extremely high, therefore I loaded up on them in anticipation. I also got an R&J form another member of this forum for $99, not a year ago. Can you believe how fast these 2 gained in value? In regards to this one, I really have to see how it does in an actual bidding auction. A BIN price of $130 with no takers don't tell me much. Doesn't speak well for this title either.

Indeed they did. Too bad it isn't on ebay.com instead of .uk. I'm not saying it isn't worth more, but I just gotta see it with my own eyes. BTW do you Brits even check whats going on in the main ebay site? or do you just stick with .uk? It's just that people could of saved so much just with a few mouse clicks. All these people overpaid (by alot), as these can be had for $130.

The one that is listed for $130 was not listed at the time of sale. The ones you seen sold I believe are the first 500 with the booklet.
