same thing happened with me and roger rabbit. and if you saw how long aladdin was on preorder after confirmed that over 4k was sold i gues there will be some sad people as well.

it's a strange method to take more preorders than availability if u ask me.

I pre ordered in march pal so god knows how many people aren't going to get one

Awful way of dealing with things

Will have to get the German one instead :(

I checked my order information and it looks as though some pre orders are missing. However if you go to order history, the links to later pages for pre orders should show up and hopefully they'll be in there (mine were)

I seriously hope everyone gets their copies and if oversold Zavvi are taking orders from people that have ordered more than one. Seems ridiculous in the age to be overselling anything. If this is the case how are they going to manage any damaged returns ? Fingers crossed then the Nemo lottery begins.

So, basically this was sold out, and zavvi kept selling it to customers? I hope not.. It'll be a shame if members here are not given their due copies. I hope this is all resolved with a clarification by zavvi.

Sorry if already mentioned, I haven't read any of the thread for a while - it came back up briefly this morning, I managed to order one. Not sure if to keep it or not. Worth anyone who missed out keeping an eye on the website!

So how does Zavvi decide which orders to cancel? Do they do it chronologically, or do they look at the number of previous orders? Or is it random? I pre-ordered Finding Nemo as soon as the page went up, but weeks later I decided to cancel and re-order it again so I could pay in GBP (it's slightly cheaper). This was after I had sent an email to Zavvi asking whether they could switch the currency for me. They replied that they were unable to amend the order as it had already been placed.

Clearly Zavvi's system doesn't work very well if these things happen. Taking too many pre-orders is just plain stupid. And if you make a complaint, you might be lucky enough to receive £5.00 credit on your account. Which doesn't really get you very far if you have to go ebay hunting.

But, fingers crossed...

Well I, along with many others I presume, cancelled my orders only to re-order when the 4 off 40 voucher was live. This was the second week of April I think.

I can only hope that these orders won't be cancelled.

I cancelled and reordered the day after Aladdin when live. 2 x Aladdins & nemo to get £5 of £50.

I've had no cancelation email from Zavvi & amazon so I imagine Zavvi cancel order are the ones from last couple of days maybe once it when OOP as they sold to many. I'm still waiting for amazon cancellation email as I believe they were a mistake.

If my nemo gets cancelled then ill get the German one. I still prefer the wavy border on German lol

Someone said that his canceled pre-order was from March...
Anyway, this steelbook is too nice to be missed. I now pre-ordered from a second ebay reseller for backup.
I actually think that the wavy border from my German version a bit strange. Neither are the teeth and eyes of bruce embossed.

Well its obvious what the fairest way would be, but whether Zavvi do it that way i pretty much doubt it.

If they do cancel some orders I can only presume the orders that were placed last would be cancelled first etc, thats why cancelling and re ordering on Zavvi to save a couple of quid is a risky business. It hasnt happened to me yet but Ive often wondered if this is the case.

Guys I got some info.

Any cancellations will be put back on sale on Zavvi.com. Ebay is only used when we have very limited stock, which is much easier to manage on ebay avoiding any oversells and therefore cancellations

Also for clarity, we do not oversell then cancel as a practice. We always take off site short of total allocation to allow for damages etc

Also I've been told that if you have any orders that have been canceled then you can PM me the order #s and they get their Cust. Service team to look into them.
