We are still investigating an expected server problem from temporary high traffic volume.

We cannot be 100% sure that another server problem won't happen again with high traffic volume though. (ie, we couldn't take 8,000 customers clicking simultaneously)

So the Nova staff have decided to announce this important information for GoG pre-order.

If the server begins to struggle from high volume pre-order traffic, we will need to shut down the server and we will post another pre-order date in facebook as soon as possible

Please understand our situation and we will do our bests to prevent a server shut down today.

We hope all of you understand this announcement and that pre-order goes smoothly.

Wasn't their statement after the Drive fiasco that they guaranteed this wouldn't be an issue in the future? (which seemed to be quite a huge promise to make)

Now, they seem rather unsure about their server capabilities...at least my impression of reading their statement. How comforting.

I can't wait to check this thread tomorrow to see how things went with the pre-order on their site.

Problem with this is if they shut down the server just before you get to finish checkout that will cause more problems

All they need is to purchase extra server capacity and slots allocated per server for a say 1 to 2 hours then all stock will be sold without any problems even if their server was fully capable this release is still going to sell out in a few Min

I don't see the same amount of high traffic volume though as drive though at the same time with this release it will still be quick though if all goes well

This will be sold out quick just hope for those attempting to order it all goes well even if I decide not to place an order
It was a mad 3 hours with drive but I got my orders in but if they cut of the server just as I or others are about to complete checkout that will cause a similar Iron Man problem and leave those wondering again did my order get accepted

Do you even know the history of what went down with the Drive and CAWS pre-sales on their site?

It's unfortunate, but previous experience is a justifiable indicator for people to not have high expectations.

technology is dynamic. they might have thought it was all good a few weeks ago, but have since found another issue. personally, i (quietly) applaud their announcement. i feel any open communication is better than none. and while i still feel that it is pretty much completely incompetent to not have this worked out by now given the vast landscape of widely available capabilities, i still at least like to know where they're at versus remaining frustrated by believing they don't care enough to keep us in the loop.

just browsing and came across this on ebay.com i found this a little mental the same person having this product to sale Guardians of the Galaxy Blu Ray Novamedia Steelbook Full Slip Pre Order 8 copies,Guardians of the Galaxy Blu Ray Novamedia Steelbook Lenticular A/B Pre Order 13 copies, quite mad how just one person could have so many copies did not know weather to laugh or cry a least we know why the gb were cut down they all on there
