It has got nothing to do with your post. I was implying there are several UK retailers that ships abroad for low price but we can't seem to find one elsewhere who does that.

Reselling for higher price is unfortunately out of our control. Even Zavvi listed few copies at 23 each in eBay (19 after fees which is still 4 higher than their own price and in fact they didn't honor few orders with 1 or 2 copies but found some to list in eBay.

Agree that it is immoral to buy too many copies and resell immediately or even list them at atrocious price as a pre-order here and elsewhere.

Believe it or not i ordered 30+ of RR and I did not and will not put anything on ebay for sale. Believe it or not there are alot of people who just do not want to order themselves ...

I have on the german forum alot of friends who do not order themselves , so try and explain to them you think a 2 per order is a good limit. If it was not for me (ok there would be another person ) they would not have gotten it at cost , they would have had to go to Ebay ..

I understand that many get angry when it goes on ebay for mega bucks but that is just how things are done nowadays - you can complain about it as long as you want, they wont stop offering them on ebay for inflated costs.

Just think of all these Ninjas who would not get a Media markt Exclusive if they started to really inforce the unspoken rule of just 2 per customer. They would have to go on ebay to get one , would you find that fair?

no sorry, first you have to explain to me, why they dont order a copy by themselves.. because theres like .. NO .. apparent reason for that

i'm just talking about zavvi here and EVERYONE EVERYWHERE can order a copy here for almost NO shipping costs

i understand that mediamarkt is different as they dont offer worldwide shipping

zavvi should really search ebay for resellers (who are selling them in larger quantities of course) and strictly ban them from further purchases.. simple as that

Correct but once you buy a copy it becomes your own and you can whatever you want with it.

i don't think theres a problem, if you sell your private copy if you don't need/want it anymore.. just when you buy it for the sole purpose of resale

Well to know the exact reasons i guess you would have to ask them. I do know though that some of them do not have a credit card NOR do they have paypal.

Im not sure but when paying with paypal i think the money is gone immediatly .. if that is the case, that could be another reason why they would and do join Groupbuys.

But like i said in order to know the real reason you would have to ask them. I dont do that as that is there own personal thing und ich respektiere das .

Lets keep this diskussion though out of this Thread as this thread is intended for diskusion about the steelbook and not about our personal views or beliefs.

Anyone else notice the "and the" on the spine doesn't look like it fits?
Will be a bit annoying if it rolls of the edge. If only we knew someone with Zavvi contacts who could put in a word....
Or maybe it will turn out ok?

I also noticed that the top picture of Indy on the spine doesn't have the same placement as the others. That will look so stupid on the shelve, but I don't know if it's just the picture, or that the actual steelbook will be printed like this...

I'm sure these things will be fine by the time it is released.

The Robocop Steelbook art photo didn't match the finished object because going by the artwork provided here in it's OP, there was no way you would have fitted an embossed border over it's title. But the finished object had it and was perfect.
