Well, if this is so that they will deliver them in white boxes, it will be worth the wait.

Yeah for this Indy Steelbook I got the delayed e-mail too, I guess if they ship it out on the 20th August on Wednesday, it should arrive by the release date in the UK.

Zavvi normaly dispatch in time for the relise date :giggle:. I'm sure a few years ago the studios kicked off about this and now fine distributors if this happens :bored:.

Who knows I'd rather wait and get them well packaged ( although I have had no issues) than looking like a run over tin can by a tank :jawdrop: .

"I'm sure a few years ago the studios kicked off about this and now fine distributors if this happens".

That's for general releases i.e when the blu-ray, DVD and (if being made) steelbook versions are all released on the same date. With the occasional exception (e.g. Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Zavvi's exclusive steelbooks generally come out some time after the 'standard' (i.e. Amaray) releases. This is always true for so-called 'catalogue' titles, such as most of the Disneys and these Indy titles. Thus, they are not tied by the same restrictions. The actual timing of the release most probably has more to do with when they actually receive them from their supplier/manufacturer than anything else. If the supplier is producing loads of titles at the same time, then something must give. Remember, Zavvi have issued items over a week ahead of their scheduled release date before. This has probably been due to the manufacturer having a lull in their schedules, so have got on and made the next titles in advance but sent them to Zavvi early rather than hold on to them taking up storage space.

They only mention Raiders but I assume it is the case with all 4?

Oh well, I can wait for the 20th. Had a feeling they might be a delay. Not too bad. :D

can you believe this from zavvi I have just had to cancel my 3 steelbooks of these because the order I had in from last year had my old address on I asked them to change it but they say they carnt and if I want to keep my order they will be sent to the old address. otherwise I have to cancel. I told them surely they carnt expect me to cancel when the items are sold out but they just said tough basically and said I would have to cancel. I think this personally is a disgrace from this company how they carnt adjust your shipping address is beyond me.

Now that really IS ridiculous! They must have sent items out to your new address since then, so they have no need to be worried about fraud. IF they were to do an address check before processing your payment AND you have updated your address with the credit card company (which I assume you have) THEN the payment might fail and you'd get a chance to update the details...

Even if you were getting your mail re-directed, I think the longest you can do this for is 12 months, so I guess you're well past that as well?

In your position, I would write directly to the head honcho (not that I know who that is for Zavvi - you may have to write to the CEO of "The Hut Group" who owns them). It's what I do whenever I have a real grievance that so called "Customer Services" cannot sort out. It's amazing what some organisations are able to do once you bring their ridiculous processes to the attention of their CEO, as some recent run-ins I have had with some services companies has proved!!
