Personally, I don't care about matching the other releases (let's face it, nothing ever matches 100% when it comes to films in a collection - just look at Studio Ghibli, Disney, etc with numbered releases that get messed up).

Main thing for me is it HAS to have a premium finish with unique de/embossing of the arc, full gloss finish like Avengers had. Otherwise, the artwork falls flat imo. It also needs to have all discs and no cuts/missing extras (hope Disney have learned from Avengers with this).

Personally, I would emboss the outer circle ring of the arc and deboss the inside triangle, hopefully no border as I think the border would ruin this design.

I like it, i think it's different and unique. What would really be cool is if the arc reactor actually lit up. Have a toy replica of the reactor, that had a magnet on the back so it can be detached from the steelbook and a blue LED light inside. That would be different and im sure people wouldn't complain about that

I think "different" is the word for this artwork, since I guess everyone agree it's far from being great. To me, the non-matching with the previous 2 steels from Play.com is a minor issue, so I'll probably get this anyway.

I hope their more creative with the back art. This doesn't match the set at all. It better have embossing to redeem itself, can't imagine just a glossy iron man 3.

No No No. Its awful for me. Guarantee its designed for the inevitable re-releases of 1&2 and will synch in with it though. That cash cow is getting fatter. Its striking but really could of been better

It's nice but the arc reactor is something I'd expect to go on the back of the Steelbook and not the front... Plus if it really is £27.99 then I'm gonna be reluctant to buying this. That for a piece of aluminium is just pushing it!

I fully agree. It's like having a batman symbol and no title. If you don't know it's batman, you should really move on and not be allowed to buy it
