It does look like iron man 1 was packaged separately for some reason. I've received mine but it was the only out of 5 from the wave that was separate, the rest where all taped together with 1 address sticker.

Received my Iron Man today. The box was all crumpled on the outside but thankfully the steelbook was mint

Postman delivered a bulk package from Play.com today. Opened it to find the only thing missing from it is my Iron Man

Received The Thing, Bourne Trilogy and 2 copies of Iron Man II. The thing is, they were all dispatched on 31st July.

I rang Play and was told that the Iron Man was dispatched seperately at 8am while the bulk package was dispatched 2 hours later at 10am. They said that if it doesn't get delivered by 5pm tomorrow, they declare it missing in the post. Now I'm pretty certain I won't be receiving my copy of Iron Man. The fact that I received the second package before the first isn't looking too good

One thing that I'm sure of after today is that it's an inside man at Play screwing with the orders. I mean, why didn't they just ship the whole lot together? Why was it the most valuable one that was shipped on it's own and then mysteriously goes missing??

It would be very easy to send an e-mail saying your items are posted and then all of a sudden they're lost in transit (I remember, I think Sunnyx saying that they mysteriously found all his Iron Man's lying in a corner in the warehouse. How convienient!)

At least if it was one of the other titles that went missing I could just reorder it. I seriously feel like puking right now

The same happened to me. Got iron man2, the thing, Bourne trilogy & pich black steelbooks on Thursday. But Iron1 only arrived today (Tuesday) even though the email said iron man1 was despatched 1st. Let's hope yrs turn up soon

Like I said in another post, Iron Man was released in only two countries, Future Shop Canada and Media Markt Germany. No other countries released this.

However, Iron Man 2 was widely available in Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan G1 size, and 30,000 Metal Paks from Target USA. As you can see so many more quantities for IM2 but so very few for IM1.

Everyone WANTS to complete their Avengers collection and are missing the most important one - Iron Man 1. It's either for value of £11 from Play.com or $600-$700 for a FS one. Some would be happy without IM2 as they already have the Asian or Target release one.

IM Play.com looks very similiar to the FS version (until the inner art was swapped lol) and also the hype this be the next steel to rise and devalue the FS version from it's value. So collectors have got this as an 'investment' as well to resell.

So that's my opinion.

I'd really appreciate a purchase liink for that CA steel from Amazon.de, also is there any german writing on the case itself or does it come with a removable synopsis card? Thanks guys.

The steelbook is the same as the uk version (text is in English) But the slip card is in German. Its also 3 disc's (uk only has 2) cos it comes with film in 3D. Hope this helps

After reading all the issues people were having with this over the weekend, needless to say I was a little worried mine would turn up with some kind of defect.

Got home.... opened...... and in MINT condition! What a superb steelbook. So so so pleases to be able to have this and IM 2, now my Avengers collection up to date is complete. Such a bargain for £10.99

Received one of mine today after only 9 days and in mint condition

The slash accros the front on mine is not like the one you see on spines. It's right through the shrinkwrap, and it's much deeper than those marks are. It's also slightly curved and at an angle, all of which makes me think it wasn't just an accident when opening a box of the steelbooks.

If it had happened during the opening of a box, the steelbooks would have been stacked, so the mark would be at roughly 90 degress and should have been kept straight by the opening of the box. This is just a random cut, and I'm sure it was deliberate.
