The only fair way to do it is to limit it to one copy per member and allow everyone to register their interest within a certain time period, then randomly pick members. Not everyone can be at a PC or use their phone all of the time and it's hard enough trying to grab OOP Steels when they come back into stock. Maybe there would need to be some kind of weighting added to favour long standing members to show a bit of loyalty (I can imagine the furore if a bunch of guys with 30 posts grabbed all the copies). The truth is though is that there's no way to do it where everyone is happy.

I think the way we've been doing it works. I've missed out on some of the GB's, but that was my fault. Wasn't mad about it or thought it was unfair. I'm a big proponent of first come, first served, though.

Nothing special about this release except it's got the Blufans special treatment which makes it collectable

It all depends on how bothered you are by a slip cover and promo tat. The edition number isn't etched onto the Steel so if you open this title it will be the same as any other Jack Reacher, providing it gets the worldwide release most believe it will.

Previous Blufans exclusives were different in that the Steelbook was unique. The 'items' were just delightful bonuses.

Based on the link sent by blackberry, almost 300 sold out, in the space of 16 hours. And most of the purchases were in quantities of 1-2 copies. Whether it is an exclusive steel cover or not, whether the slip is anything to shout about, whether anyone will ever physically see the booklet or not, it's clear blufans is collectible...

I was just trying to help and give him a chance to get one, when he wouldn't normally have a chance! Why you even commented on my post is beyond me, are you just trying to stir the pot! Your comment is ridiculous anyway, as your assuming that he can't afford even the most basic phone that allows Internet use and that with that phone he wouldn't be allowed to go to the toilet or somewhere just to secure himself a copy! This whole process would take just a few seconds!
