Original title all the way for me. If the movie is Japanese, I wouldn't mind the Japanese title.
Absolutely no translations whatsoever for me! Except for some titles in french that I can bear since french is my mother tongue.
I know someone who can't even stand foreign text on the back of the cardboards

Foreign text is the worst, Asians know whats up by making most of their english titles, or just on the cardboad, etc. I hate German on the backs.
Living in Canada almost everything is bilingual. I find it very frustrating.
Sometimes if a similar blu-ray is available without the french text in the states, i'll drive down and pick it up rather. For the steelbooks in Canada, it seems they are now using the cardboard overlay (with bilingual text) more which is greatly appreciated! But i do have a few older steelbooks that have bilingual spines

If I see a beautiful artwork, I don't care if it has foreign text on it...
I prefer English title, but it's crazy not to fall in love with a beauty...
How can anyone reject a Miss Universe that speak her own language? LOL...
Friends love the unique steelbook because they can't just walk into a BestBuy and pick it up... I might be the only one in a 100 mile radius with imported steelbook

Only 1 part of Canada is bilingual, and even they don't want to be a part of Canada

Language other than English is ok with me so long as the spine has English so as to read it off the shelf. I have movie database software that gives me all the information I need on a movie.

I buy all my blu-rays in the US or online from the US if they are sold bi-lingual here in Canada. It's quite frustrating indeed.
DB could add another entry on the poll? entry for "original title whatever the producing country is" or something equivalent. The choices offered now do not reflect my position, and by the look of it, the position of some other members.

I buy based on art and movie first .... I consider the text part of the art. And while I own PLENTY of foreign language steels. If one looks totally bad imo, I will not buy. That is rare tho.

I've always been very intrigued by Japanese culture and language all together, so if it's not in English or Japanese I just refuse to buy. I think I made a few exceptions, like Avatar the last airbender and Clash of the titans, but outside of those two if the title is not in English I just won't buy.
I don't mind non-English titles at all. But I make decisions on whether I buy Steels based 1st on the film itself-if I love the film, I'll probably buy the Steelbook, if there is a nice one for it. If I like the art I don't care what language is printed on it. Horhay, I agree on Asian writing/culture, and I love my Asian Steel for the Extended ed.
