- The steelbook illustration is by Krzysztof Domaradzki.
- The artwork for the slipbox was used previously for the Oldboy vinyl LP. It was co-ordinated by Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive, and illustrated by Laurent Durieux. The director of Oldboy Park Chan-wook wanted one of our editions to feature this artwork so we reached out to Milan Records and illustrator Laurent Durieux. You'll be able to see more of the artwork since parts of the top and bottom were cropped out for the vinyl LP.

Only in your opinion. I found it a bit contrived and far-fetched though unusual.

i would agree to that but one thing doesn't rule out the other. tarantino is considered by many as the god of revenge movies but no one would say its somehow realistic. movies are an artform and dont need to represent exact reality to perfectly describe a theme or explain its effects and causes. as an example the lion king did about the circle of life and there is nothing more contrived and far-fetched as disney.

I must be kidding myself for believing I can enjoy the cinematography, score, acting, and story every time I watch it. You can't rewatch the whole film? Tell that to myself. I've seen it many times. One of my top five favorite films of all time (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is in my top ten).
Agreed. I find it silly the notion that those who loved their first viewing of this film can't continue to enjoy its artistry on multiple viewings. I sure have and will continue to do so when this release finally comes out.

I have a feeling you're re-watching it to appreciate the hard work put in by all those involved. A tribute to the people who worked on the film. Not because it genuinely has re-watch value. That's the problem with films with a big twist. After the first time, it just doesn't have the same effect. Just my opinion anyway.

Tarantino's films revenge aside is full of dialogue that you can just watch over and over again ... that's what I love about his films. The dialogue.

It's a good movie for a one time viewing due to the reveal / shock factor involved. You can't re-watch the whole film (only two scenes have re-watch value the hallway fight sequence that inspired the sequence in Marvels Daredevil Netflix TV series and the restaurant eating scene). If you're saying you can re-watch the whole film and enjoy it ... you need to stop kidding yourself.

Just my opinion anyway.

"It's just my opinion but everyone with a different opinion is wrong." Great.

I have a feeling you often say things to get a reaction, so I'm going to go back to my "do not engage" policy.

I actually care about this release so I can't wait to see the beauty shots!

You're obviously entitled to your opinion but you've also been told by several people that they do enjoy rewatching it. Perhaps you should take that as a sign they enjoy rewatching it? Just my opinion.

On topic: I'm really looking forward to this release! A fantastic movie that deserves a great edition. And I'm sure Plain Archive will do it justice.

You can't rush perfection... I'm sure PA will deliver something amazing as always. Very excited about this one!

Couldn't agree more mate! This is top of my wishlist and I know it's going to be as close to perfection as you can get. With the extras they're trying to put together also I really feel this will be a thing if beauty. I just hope they make enough to go round! :ohno:

As I already have the UK steel it's the new extras/docs that PA are putting together that have this top of my wish list.

I'm sure that Plain Archive will do a great job with the new extras, but they will be wasted on many of us if they don't have (at least) English subtitles.
