I have Aladdin & The Little Mermaid, with Wreck It Ralph on order.
So, I was tempted to get The Jungle Book too until Planes was unveiled.

Now I'm not going to bother trying to make this a complete 'collection' as they films announced so far don't feel like they belong as a set.

I am so dissapointed in this title being released in the collection. I could see tangled being released but not this. Zavvi/ Disney have let me down. Just like they did with the little mermaid and are doing with monsters university

I'm liking the choice here, the artwork is decent enough just hope they get the gloss out when it comes to the finishing. Personally I think there is just too much matte these days and it would be nice to get some variation. If they brought out a matte and gloss version of this we all know which would sell out first, so why is everything being done matte WHY because it's probably cheaper than gloss, also considering the premium price the retailers are charging we do deserve better. The retailers and studios have a chance to make these steels really collectable but are continually falling short with artwork choice, finish and content.

I am sure this will get a worldwide release. Its a day and date release so I don't understand why anyone would think they wouldn't release it on steelbook. Every other new movie gets a steelbook these days.

Jeez. A lot of hate goin on here. Steelbook looks nice front and back. I expected a steelbook release for this. Duh. And if there wasn't, tons of people would be asking why not, since so many other less popular titles get a steelbook.

The only thing that doesn't line up well is the price. For a big budget, major blockbuster like IM3, at least it was "semi-understandable", although so many complained about that price too. But for Planes, it seems something more like 17.99 would have been the price point, even for a Disney film.

I would consider ordering this if they put out a discount code or special offer like WIR, but not at full price.

When will it be announced what these titles are? I hope they aren't region locked like jungle book. :(

? I bought jungle book and it was not region locked?
Dam I bought it but didnt even look at the disc yet. Now I am sad lol.

I am just wondering why this is taking up one of their disney exclusive spaces and not their pixar one. I guess that is a good thing in one way.

I certainly was never expecting this film to get a steelbook release after reading the reviews it got.
But then, After Earth is too so who knows why some are chosen over others! :hilarious:

The Jungle Book is locked to regions B/C

This is in the Disney Collection and not the Pixar Collection because it's a Disney film, not Pixar

Ooooooh dear. So much for all of us thinking it would be a traditionally animated film.

Hmm, to order or not to order? I didnt find Cars 2 as bad as everyone said it was (It was not great, but no means horrible) so....

This.

Ehhhhhmmmm..... The first 4 entrys were so good and then this. It isnt even a Disney Classic, its A disneytoons movie. I thought it was going to be all classics, this totally turns me off the collection as a whole to be honest :/ Its like releasing a tinkerbell steelbook alongside all these disney greats :/

Not happening. Zavvi can stuff this lol. I'm only going for the steels I want from now on. They must think we are stupid to go for a b movie in a Disney guise! No interest whatsoever

I checked this thread almost every other day, for it to turn out to be Planes. Well as I've said before I have no problems being selective, even with Zavvi's Disney releases now.

Have to get WIR for the retro rear artwork. But after that, I'll pick and choose, without any qualms.

Planes!:hilarious:

Not the worst artwork but all this build up for this come on, expectations have just been evaporated into thin air. Really disappointing and these so call premium prices for what exactly one disc and no 3d , no decent amount of bonus features and matte finishes, no special packaging nothing, just hand over your cash bitches because it says Disney, it stops here Zavvi. The collection was going with gloss finishes and all of a sudden matte finises every where BS.

One of the worst Disney films to come out in a long time, they should have released it straight to DVD like they were intending too, then it would have never got the steelbook treatment that it truly does not deserve. And £23 to boot, seriously?
