Am I the only one who prefers a matte finish to a glossy finish? :emb:

I enjoy both finishes and some steels suit gloss while others suit matte. I reckon this one looks cool with matte and I can't wait to get it, that's for sure

The steelbook definitely feels as though it's missing something... some debossing or an embossed border would have finished it off nicely!

I'm a big fan of glossy steels! I just like the way the light hits them and I also feel like the paint is of a higher quality than a matt finish. They seem to last longer and chip less easily.

I like all finishes, depends on the artwork for me and what it suits. This one was crying out for a gloss finish to really flesh out the inky blacks and make the title stand out.

I like it too. Sometimes less is more. I like simple designs. This one does beg for a nice glossy finish though to bring out the inky blacks of the cover art.

copycat :hilarious:

Seriously though, I totally agree. Some artwork works better with a certain finish. This one screams for gloss though. If it ends up being a matte finish, I'll just have to accept it. I'd really prefer it in gloss though. Haha maybe hit it with a layer of hi-gloss clearcoat :D

Aye, an embossing or debossing would've been nice. At 23.99 it's really expensive. 2.3x more than most steelbooks play.com has produced.

For some reason I feel the higher the budget and the less successful the movie (in terms of box office), the more they have to milk out the revenue from the home market release.

New releases are always more. The Raid was £14.99. That was a single disc.

To put it into perspective, the 3D amaray is £20 at Amazon and that's the cheapest.

Shipped YES Take that X factor :D. I am so Hyped Yes expensive but I saved on NOT going to the cinema so I saved £7 thire at least.

Gloss finish for me would be wrong because nice and glossy holding hands together. As we are picked off one by one and the rest turn on each other in terror.

(That's the type of thing I am hoping for ).

Would for me be WRONG being shinny and nice I like dull and dirty grime in my horror .

Looking forward to the alternate beginning AND end :ohno:.
