Punisher: No Mercy - Coming July 2nd

ZEN Studios confirmed today that The Punisher: No Mercy will be released on July 2nd, 2009 through the PlayStation Store for $9.99.

"With awesome characters, a customizable system, and fast-paced multiplayer action, No Mercy is breaking ground in the digital space. Powered by Unreal Engine 3, The Punisher: No Mercy was designed with fast-paced online multiplayer FPS action in mind. The game allows players to choose from an eclectic mix of Punisher allies and villains. Battle arenas span from shipyards rife with contraband to the “birthplace” of the Punisher’s archenemy, Jigsaw, and up to eight players can blast away at each other in a variety of solo and team-based missions.

The Punisher coming to PSN next week

Zen Studios boss Zsolt Kigyossy has confirmed that PlayStation Network shooter The Punisher: No Mercy will be up for download in North American territories next week.


According to Kigyossy?s post on the U.S. PlayStation Blog, the game will set you back approximately $10 USD. Details on a European release have yet to be divulged.

The Punisher packs in both a story mode and meaty arena-style multiplayer component, offering gamers a fast-paced FPS experience inspired by the brutal Marvel character.

Its like a ps2 game gone HD .... but the story is so short they couldnt disc it even if they wanted... itsonly 4levels Ibeat the story in like 1 hour tops.

It seems as if they made it primarily for MP but just threw together a quick story for hell sake.

Its kinda fun, but definitely not gonna keep you busy hours on end. I think BigRick might actually like it tho ... it may be alot more fun playing with friend tho to be honest.

It looks good, but the motion controls are a bit sluggish but not by alot. You gotta push on r3 analog to zoom and cant change the controls.

Its definitely not worth a penny over $10 IMO. Rentals these days cost 7.50 so I guess keeping a game on your HD for $10 isnt so bad.
