Just been chatting to Elliot Cardona (the guy who designed the artwork) and he confirmed that this has "a matte finish with a Pantone red and embossed lettering." Shame it's not gloss, but I can live with it being matte because I like the artwork so much. Can't wait for this one!

I dont think they rotate their stock as well as Amazon for instance. These are possible cancellation, returns etc.. Zavvi work in mysterious ways. At the end of the day, just accept and take advantage of a good situation.

I really like this steelbook but unfortunately I think it's had it's day £16.99 and still in stock, 6-7 months ago we'd have been fighting over these.

Nice steelbook. One of the best I've seen in a long time.

You DO realize it's a white title on a red background with a racing stripe, don't you? They couldn't have done
less if they tried...except maybe an unpainted case with the word steelbook stamped on it...
The minimalism angle just doesn't work for me on this (seems like the LAZY angle). And £29.99 to make that wedgie an Atomic one!!

I thought the same thing at first which is why it took me so long to bite.

Have a closer look at it from the actual pics. The standard red and white are reminiscent to Formula 1 & it's finishing is solid. The back art blends in the cars beautifully and then comes the interior. Perfect concept designs as per the movie.

It is one of those steelbooks that tell a great story but you have to study it first.

I felt the same as C.C. 95; didn't see the attraction. I didn't believe people that said it was so much better in hand. Then I was given one for my birthday and I thought it was great. I still prefer the Japanese futurepak/metalpak but this really is a great steelbook.

well look what they done to GOTG owners, don't think there is any low they won't go as long as suits them first and no help to customers.

Already decided on my new years resolution and that is try avoid zavvi if i can, e.g. if a steel is available else where buy it from them instead they have zero accountablity to customers atm and only way that will change if people vote with there feet.
may even just buy from the bay after a long while days are gone of them robbing my pocket.
I would like to think some on here may adopt that principle as well.

Arrived today from Zavvi at the £16.99 price. Not damaged.

Just received mine this morning, was one of the steels close to the top of my "will pay extra just to have" list. £17 was a steal (pun intended), but like most a little bit dubious of Zavvi's business practices. If they were an airline they'd be done for price-fixing but I genuinely don't believe they have absolutely any idea of where their stock is and how much they have. Ce'st la vie, very happy to get this cracker anyways.
