Yes, thing too.

I ask the publisher today , that i can set the Limit to 150.

What you think about this Ninja's ?
I thing that would be a fair solution for all

I think 250 or 500 would be a better a figure. The demand is there and they are still really low numbers.

You know I thought his username rang a bell, isn't he the one who got 80 copies of the kingsman FA the other week?
It was probably him who placed all those orders that got cancelled that was cancelled at the start of ordering process for this!

Unfortunately people are going to find away of getting there hands on multiple steels , buy making more usernames or buy joining other forums and ordering on same group buys across them all , wether it be to sell within a few months of going oop or to sell in a few years time , I still think people who have more than one edition of a movie in there collection have a motive for this. Maybe likes of nova , kimchidvd , blufans should put a cap on multi buys to 1 but I doubt it , end of the day they just want there money

Getting back on this movie , never even heard of the one guys , is the movie any good guys?
Also who is this company? Are they new and is it likely 100-150 print run on every future release , I think that would be a good idea , let these go to true collectors

First Steelbook release like this that they've done. Chances are they started out small to ensure there was enough interest.

I agree with @AlienKing

Even though it's very honourable to increase the print run, it feels kinda weird.

This release was set to 100 copies from the beginning. Knowing it's a risk, but also a way to make people want this release. So it's a gamble which Steelarchive made. And now because of a plugin failure, you want to increase the print run?

That's just bollocks. For me, who greatfully secured a copy through the painful gb ;-), I love the fact that the release is part of 1 out of 100 copies.

I have no intention in selling it, because I'm interested in the movie and the fact of it being 1 out of 100 makes it even more 'nicer' to have. (sorry for those who got left out).

But even if I didn't secure a copy twice (through gb and website), I would stick to my opinion of keeping the initial print run. That's what you communicated from the start.

Sorry for those which got their orders cancelled, but let this be a valuable lesson.

- you cannot please everyone, but you shine in trying so (keep up the good work)
- websites sometimes do weird stuff (even PlainArchive had hickups)
- always stick to what you communicate at first
- now k you know there is a demand, increase your next release with certainty. ;-)

Good luck in your adventure and hobby which is your business.

Whatever you do, consider the pro's and cons.

For a fact, I never got anything from other websites which failed in anyway during live time, so I missed out on a few. (kimchi Thor, kimchi rush, zdt PlainArchive, Nova big hero 6)

They never increased the print run, even though many missed out. I know printing some paper and having it factory sealed ain't a big deal, but still..... Just sayin'

Good luck... ;-)

Why ask for an extra 50 when 18 orders were cancelled?
Agreed. If Steel Archive feel they have to make it up to the people that missed out...
Why not see how people feel about increasing the print run to 120 (118 would just be a weird number) instead of 150?

IMO, increasing the print run from 100 to 150 is just too much. I'd be okay with 120 though.

The other option of course is just say sorry and put it down to being a learning experience, and trying to get it right next time as it was advertised as limited to 100 for quite some time now.
Increasing the print run at all will no doubt annoy some people. Not increasing it will no doubt annoy some others.

@StifflersDad They didn't. They re-packaged Edge of Tomorrow by adding lenti slips to sell their outstanding stock.
It wasn't edge of tomorrow that I was thinking of. I am sure either Kimchi or Nova printed more of one of their titles. I just can't remember the details. Could it have been GOTG lenti by Nova.

Whenever the question of increasing print runs has come to the surface, I've consistently commented (even when I've missed out) that if a figure has been made public it shouldn't be changed after the preorder has gone live and ended.

Obviously this is the distributor's decision to make and I can certainly appreciate that the circumstances resulting in overselling the Spring steelbook were unfortunate and unforeseen. One just shouldn't change the production run for a collectible item once the quantity has been made public.

I may be wrong but didn't Novamedia increase their print run for one of their exclusives.

Any way I hope @DuckDogers you can do something to help.

They did it once with Guardians of the Galaxy:
Well this is interesting. From Nova's FB:

Dear International Customer,

Today we would like to inform you that due to an allocation
mistake, we have unfourtantly over-sold GotG Lenticular A version.

After discussing this problem with the Publisher, we decided the best option for our loyal customers would be to raise the print run of GotG Lenticular A version from 500 to 580 to insure all orders from our customers are fullfilled.

We are deeply sorry that we made this mistake and therefore had to make this hard decision but our only other option would have been to have canceled 80 customer orders.

In light of our previous problems we did not want to let our loyal customers down this time .

We sincerly apologize for any inconvience this might cause. We are working hard at NOVA to insure this type of mistake does not happen again.

We hope you , our loyal customers , will find it in your hearts to forgive us for making this mistake.

We hope for your continuous support in the future.

Sincerly your NOVA Staff.
