I'm really hoping it looks similar to that. Enjoyed making this one. Don't have the Photoshop skills so made it in paint lol. I'm happy how it turned out though.

It might (but probably without the blue banner) or it might not. The image is just a placeholder. I wouldn't be surprised if the first version ends up looking something like the German edition, and the second one is something entirely new.

Wreck said on the first page of posts this WILL have the same art as the play version. it just wont have the same finish.

However, wether the banner remains intact or there's any embossing/debossing remains to be seen.

I think most of us are hoping that the new release from Zavvi is something special, and if they use Hussun's art, it bloody well will be!

well, the back art aint to bad, very reminiscent of the avengers steelbooks, that embossed would make a pretty nice cover. but the problem with that is it's far to similar to the avengers art.

the idea of a steelbook with new art is exciting. But after seeing that mock up i'm rather worried, i immediately recognised the cover art as a poster they released for the film.

Which made me think about how a large majority of steelbooks use poster art as covers for steelbooks. Star Trek XI didn't have many great posters. Infact they already used the best one for the play.com/futureshop steelbook if they go and use poster art we are in for one UGLY steelbook.

so i really hope they come up with something original for this release...I really wana see something original and breathtaking Hussuns art (though well made) doesn't fit into the categories of original or breathtaking.


wouldn't mind seeing this used in some way (maybe as inside art)
