I just received my 3 steelbooks of Star Trek Blufans (A,B,C) (yes I'm late but wasn't collecting when it came out, I'm a newbie)

And all 3 sealed steelbooks are sealed together in a pack of 3, all 3 sealed copies are within a plastic sleeve to hold all 3 of them and that plastic holding all 3 steelbooks is All Sealed up.

Should I keep it sealed up as a Pack of 3 or open it to be able to see each sealed copy ? In terms of value, is it better to keep (A,B,C) sealed up all 3 together or as long as each of them is sealed up I can open the pack to see them and it won't affect the value ?

Need advice :ohno:

I removed the wrap from the outer plastic sleeve, but I left the individual steels sealed.

Nice pick up, keep it sealed. If you don't mind sharing, how much did you get if for?

Oh it wasn't that bad, but I think I've lost my judgment lol including express shipping it came to 370US$

but it is hart to find seeing that it was released last fall...catching up on the steel you've missed that is what is really expensive starting to collect.

I removed the wrap from the outer plastic sleeve, but I left the individual steels sealed.

That is what I wanted to do but I've been suggested not to do that, apparently only about 100 set of 3 were sold as a set with same number. I'll Keep it sealed following recommendation of fellow collectors.

Wow, $370!! EEK!

Yeah I don't blame you, but I have zero intention on selling mine, so I decided to open it.

that is what I've noticed, when you are up to date you pay less as releases come out ! but when you start collecting and try to get, to acquire, what you have missed and really want, that is when it gets pricey, but I'm happy such a beautiful set :D

Yes i remember it was 400 made.

The group buy was for 150 copies.

And the price for the tripack was $162

I don't understand anymore what's out there. I am counting 8 BluFans editions.

1. Single Type A steel
2. Single Type B steel
3. Single Type C steel
4. Tri-package steel + gift
5. Spaceship set + Type A steel within the package
6. Spaceship set + Type B steel within the package
7. Spaceship set + Type C steel within the package
8. Spaceship set + Tri-package steel within the package

Could someone tell me the quantities of the different versions, please?

I know that there are 100 tripacks with ship and 100 tripacks without the ship.

Thx in advance!

Anybody? Please help  :tear:

From what I was told, when you look at the picture at top of thread with the tripack with spock on cover it's the tripack that was released.

There is a,b,c with same number all 3 steelbooks

all 3 steelbooks since tehy are sealed, Spock, Kirk and Khan all have a different steelbook inside, I know 2 of the steelbooks contain both the 3D+2D and the other one is Blu-ray + DVD...

I have the pictures of each steelbooks seperately from blufans for type A,B,C so you can see what they each contain, I know 1 of the steelbook is the entertainment store copy like with the enterprise going down, there Khan walking towards us with the debris on the cover with him in prison when you open the steelbook and back of it he is in handkuffs and the 3rd one I don't remember... if I could post each picture content I would but we need to upload with web link and I don't know how to do that I only have them as picture like on my desktop or in a folder... I may try something so you can see the 3 different steelbook content;

I could only find a pic on ebay to show what is in the steelbook of Spock
http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAR-TREK-into-darkness-3D-BLUFANS-blu-ray-STEELBOOK-factory-sealed-/121326699776?pt=UK_CDsDVDs_DVDs_DVDs_GL&hash=item1c3fa28500

and the tripack have all the same numbers all 3 different steelbooks same number.

if anyone wants to correct me who has open their pack please do so cause mine is still sealed and looks like the picture top thread but I've seen pictures of a,b,c and it's what I described above

Spock is ltd to 600
Kirk is ltd to 500
and Khan is ltd to 400 (khan with tripack unopened is the 3rd one the one that we see the back xxx/400
the middle is Kirk
and of course first one is Spock (you can see on the hyperlink, spock is 553/600)
and if you look at the back of a tripack it's limited to 400 (ie a,b,c have different print run)

I know so because I have seen all 3 separately and noticed all 3 had different print run (even in tripack)

I don't know where you got your information but to my knowledge there is only

a,
b
c,
tripack in the plastic holder sealed up all 3 together with the ship on the side as the picture above

I guess we need a blufan expert that can unmix the information.

I will ask het to look at the post, she is an expert in blufans.

MESSAGE SENT TO THE BLUFANS EXPERT PLEASE WAIT FOR PROPER INFO TO BE GIVEN
