Wow what a ugly piece of steelbook...
Best buy edition is much better, but still not that good to justify the costs.
I hate to say it, but I'll go for amaray this time with the wonderful movie poster on it.

What a terrible release :yuck:
What I dont get is people on instagram calling it a "beauty" and all kind of positive remarks.
Probably because this is bought by many Star Wars fans who aren't usual steelbook buyers. So to them this just looks special. They don't realize they are paying a very high price for a piece of ****.

And the worst part is that Disney is making a load of money off these guys and will just keep ******** over the real collectors with garbage like this.

But surely those same people must of bought the new 6 single steels by fox and then when they got this they would of realised it looks much worse.

I have a theory about the people who post on Instagram (non forum users / non steel collectors) and that is they just don't have a clue and don't know how to actually appreciate a good steel

I mentioned this when they was praising the zavvi marvel lenti wave

Reply just received from Scanavo to my query sent on the 15th April about the differences between the U.S./Can edition and the rest-of-the-world edition:-
"Hi Nicholas,
Hope you are well.
If it's different studios having the rights for the same movie then they can make different artwork/features for the same title. This is probably what happened in the case of STAR WARS VII. We have many titles that are totally different depending on which territory produced them.
Hope this answers your question.
Have a good day
Best regards,
---------------
I suppose the clue is in the Best Buy EXCLUSIVE for the U.S./Canada edition . . .

The reason is purely down to this as already been mentioned
Disney Americas distribute for North America/South America and Canada
The Star Wars Steelbook is the same in USA/Canada/Brazil
Steelbooks made in USA for the territory North America/South America and Canada

Disney Europe distribute for Europe/Asia/Pacific/Middle East region
Steelbooks made in Denmark/China

They are separate Disney companies and is why you see the differences between USA and Europe Disney/Marvel Steelbook releases

The Zavvi steelbook is from Disney Europe

Scanavo have manufacturing in
Europe
Americas
Asia Pacific

That is the exact point made in the response from Scanavo to my enquiry so I'm wondering what is your point unless you are simply reinforcing the reply from Scanavo ?

Yes, I get it that Scanavo North America are responsible for the Best Buy exclusives
And, yes, I get it that Scanavo Europe (or Scanavo China) are responsible for the rest-of-the-world editions.

My query to Scanavo, which I didn't post here, was more along the lines of a complaint that our edition was sub-standard and like a shabby relation when compared to the Best Buy edition and that is still my point of view.

That being said, I will buy the U.K. edition when / if they do a BOGOF with REBELS for GBP 24.99 and
I will never buy the U.S./ Canada edition because it is too expensive (between GBP 35 - 50) for not a great design anyway.

Because Paul (Mr. groundhog/ Paul Cruise) has seriously mentioned this umpteen times in quite a number of threads over the years/ months and even last few days so surely you must of read that? as older members we've pretty much all seen it definatelty the more active members which I would say you are and imagine he will continue to mention it for newer members and just to remind us all one more time (I say with hints of sarcasim)

Lol, over the last couple of days suddenly a flood of dozens (!) of 5 star reviews for this on the Zavvi page.
Like 30 of them on the 26th alone.

Very subtle. Very subtle indeed.
