True, but there was no call made .. that's for sure. ;) <-- not speculation.

I have stressed that if they like what they see in terms of sales, then they should order a future release and do a wbshop.com exclusive. No reprints or I will send some Steelbook Ninjas after them. :p

:scat:

Wreck, put me on the inside track for that giveaway. :)

set up an account at the warner bros shop for the sole purpose of buying this if they got any in stock. just tried to order one, site lets you go through the ordering process, tells you international shipping to the UK is 20 dollars, then blocks order, stating international shipping is not available!!!!
hopefully i will get some sort of response to the email i have sent to the warner bros shop regarding non UK delivery:angry::(:(

Theres plenty of messages on here stating US only.

Jett-I don't think "everyone" hated G1's-there were a few of us that "prefer" G2's, and some that felt very 'strongly against' G1's. But as many also said, when there is a "limited" run, people will often make exceptions, because of the low qty available/relative exclusivity vs. other SB releases.

Good luck again to everyone that placed orders-I hope the true collectors are able to snag a copy for their own collections/for trade! :scat:

I realize that not everyone hates G1s (I for one would take a G1 Steelbook over a G2 Ironpack, MetalPack, etc) but just find it a bit funny at the frenzy this thing is generating now. I remember reading the poll regarding G1 vs G2 that was here with all the comments about never buying a G1.

That said, I think the artwork on this SteelBook is freaking awesome & hope my order goes through (or I win the one being given away here). :ohno:

I just got off the phone with them and they said I was backordered and that I got in after all the influx of orders were fulfilled. I ordered at noon EST yesterday. This is complete BS.

I would have countered with:

Well, mr. Silly Pants customer service rep, how come the website is still taking orders up to 5 copies?!

They don't know what they are talking about. Just sit tight, everything will be OK. :ninja:

My confirmation e-mail says will ship by 10/6...so we'll see...I'm thinking some of us are going to get screwed...and I doubt anyone that anyone talks to over at WB is not going to know what they are talking about.

I hope some of us don't get sucker punched by any cancellation emails :p
Well done.

They think we must all be suckers if they cancel our orders @ $26 and expect us to pay $60. :p

Btw, I've checked and legally they can't raise the price on the existing orders, so they would have to cancel 'em if they want to charge more. :movie:

I did say that and all I got was I'm sorry theres not5hing I can do. We are backordered and your order came in after the influx. I don't see how that was really possible as it was still $23.35 when I ordered.

If I am a backordered copy my description line should not say in stock. I need to cool down over the next few days and enjoy the Holiday

Retailer's systems are very different across different stores. Believe me, it's crazy complex across e-commerce platforms and how their logistics/dropshipping etc are being handled 'behind the scenes', which is why some things do get oversold. I have no idea, if that's actually what has happened here.

Some stores have 'real time' inventory tracking, meaning if you see 'in stock', it means there are actually copies to ship. Others say 'in stock', until feeds from 3rd party distributors are updated. Others update their systems manually, internally, and so on. All of the factors already mentioned, and these additional complexities are obviously adding to everyone's aggravation. Though the last post I made, surely summarizes the aggravation of most folks here, 'waiting for a sign' of whether their @%$&!*(# order will actually ship- sadly, all we can do, is wait....:movie:

And with that..Hey WB Shop, are ya listening to the chaos, peeps?

:ohno:
