I live in Ottawa and cancelled my futureshop order.4 discs with the same film on seemed ridiculous just to get the case.
Went with Amazon germany for the bonus disc

3D - 2D - DVD - digital copy

no bonus disc

this "4 disc" set is Disc heavy and content light

Yeah, Im returning my copy (its already in processing so i cant cancel it on fs.ca) and getting the target exclusive 2d br + bonus disc and an empty vmb from usa instead. No point getting this with the same thing 4 times and content I dont care about. I would much rather have the bonus disc even if it does turn out to be nothing special. If I was into 3d then it would make sense to get this version and make it worth getting.

Fair play to you.I ordered the Amazon Germany one (a genuine steelbook) and I have the USA Best buy metal case.I will pick up a 2nd hand copy of the regular blu ray sometime later for some discs to put in the Best buy case.
My son in England got the HMV UK Avengers steelbook. Just the 2D film on 1 bluray disc - was around $23 cad total - a reasonable price I thought

yeah I have the hmv steelbook on its way to me as well. I wanted to get both the steelbook and viva. The hmv was a good deal for sure especially when it first came up during the sale... got it for £12.50 plus ship. :)

Looking forward to seeing some in-hand pics from you guys who have already got their copies.... will tide me over until mine arrive :naughty:

I have read this too - but surely anything is better than four identical content discs in the Canada steelbook EEK!

Maybe but the German steelbook doesn't include the commentary of Joss Whedon and doesn't have the 'Assembling the Ultimate Team' featurette and of course, there is the no-spear version of the movie. ;)

You are quite right there,Thankfully you will have four discs in the same package that have those identical features lol ;).
I'd like to listen to the commentary at some stage, but in reality I would probably never get around to doing it.
Joking aside,I will pick one of the standard Canadian releases in a second hand shop in a couple of months for about $10.

just got it at FS's Midnight Launch, I am too late for getting the toys, but managed to get the collectible art cards.

Did FS still charge the ridiculous price of $39.99 that they had advertised in their flyer? I can't get over these prices in Canada. $37.99 for the regular 3D edition, $20 in the States. It's mind-boggling.

I love those art cards, though. Nice pick-up! :)

It's brutal. We get way overcharged for everything up here. Ah well, I'm on my way to FS right now to see if I can get lucky.

I may have to go into my local FS. I used to work there and maybe I can sweet talk some lithos from someone. :hilarious:
Just use some of that infamous gorilla charm, and you'll be lousy with them! I'd lay a fiver on it!

Seriously though, the guy there told me they had more than they knew what to do with...

If the place is still ran like it used to be, then yeah... I believe that guy. I remember when Perfect Dark Zero was released. My store received about 40 games and 200 hats as freebies. Ended up throwing out most of the hats.

There were only 2 copies in the Toronto FS. Picked them up even though I ordered online. Price was a crazy $39.99 + 13% and NO freebies because it was late...online order I think came up to about $30.00+ only...

And I just noticed that there is no embossed on the "A" outline...just the name...

Awe, I thought the 'A' was embossed. That's a let-down for sure.
