please use this thread as a RESOURCE to ask your fellow members about problems you've had with a reseller or questions about e-bay.

do NOT use this thread to attack or refute other members. if you an e-bay dispute with a member here, perhaps it's best to approach a trading mod before posting? we don't police e-bay, but maybe we can give you a tip or two.

if members ignore these suggestions, then the thread might be locked for a couple of weeks.

hey folks,

as a reminder what myself (and other mods) have continued to mention via private message, e-mail and other areas. we do NOT police other trading marketplaces like ebay, youtube, amazon and the rest.

there is ONLY a certain amount of information at our disposal and we do not have the resources in these other locations as we do on this forum - things that we can look at and evaluate.

having said that, there are trading rules on this forum that have been instituted for your own protection for trading transactions that happen HERE.

this includes the pending / active sales threads, the requirement of feedback posted for any new traders, our support ticketing system, the active investigations held by trading moderators and many other things we do not discuss openly.

we have long held that problems occurring on these other forums and marketplaces should be taken the appropriate authorities on THOSE websites.

many of you are established traders here on this forum and you should know all about the guidelines that are stickied in this section - including having new traders send first, getting tracking from the other party and proof of shipment, and what other precautions can be taken to protect your trading safety.

trading via ebay and their messaging system is against their stated policy and should not occur - and there are reasons why they have created that policy. you don't have protection of paypal or their listing system as a buyer or seller.

having said that, if there is trouble with an ebay seller or buyer, you should go to their website and report it there. if you are not aware of this process, follow the below link for more information.

so folks can feel free to chat about a seller or buyer that they are having problems with, but I can tell you right now - there will not be a "witch hunt" by moderators or staff based on one person's account of the problems or trouble they are having - and we limit the action taken for or against members here to transactions that occurred on this forum.

I just got an Email from him : I caunt quote any on here , but he basiacally said that , its a shame that I (meaning Me) dont live closer to him so he could show me the scratch / line / mark underneath the shrink wrtap !!b as his Camera is not good enough to show up the imperfection !!

Mate, I understand your frustration , but with out a photo , I am unable to assist you ?

I am got 557 feed back with every 1 @ 100% satifactory transactions..I can offer a Fullredfund , but you will have to Post it to my friend in the UK , he is a very prominant Seller on Ebay & I do believe he has dealt with you before !!

I think he tried his luck and thought you would offer him some refund. Then when you said to return the package he realised he would be out of pocket.

He still needs reporting to eBay as its not the first time he has done this and always blames the camera!!

hey I only saw this thread today...didn't know it exists! some pretty bad experiences...
so far I haven't had any bad experience with selling in ebay and I don't "pretend" to be someone else on ebay too and usually sell spare records, CDs and now probably steelbooks too...Maybe the Ninjas should have our own auction threads! so we can stick it to ebay! yeah! ;-)

We can also probably have a list of Ninja ebay sellers so at least we can see the good apples and the bad apples too!

oh and yeah...just like you guys I almost always end up buying more stuff than selling...too lazy to list and take pictures and stuff...

I sold him an item on Jan 1st. I shipped it 1st class on the 2nd. He emails and tells me he hasnt gotten it on the 11th. What do people expect to have it go to another country and be there instantly?

Today he opens a case and pretty much lies that I am not working with him. He is not being reasonable at all. I put in insurance claim. The worst part is you cant track 1st class and people take advantage of it.

He lied saying he tried to contact me and he also states he contacted me by phone. That is a complete lie.

^^also first class shipping you can't change the option if No one is around to pick it up the only option is Abandon if no one is home

Priority let's you can change from 2 options, Abandon or Return to sender. More expensive shipping but better options

How does the USA postal system work when no one is home then? IN uk they tend to leave it with a neighbour or hide it in a box or something etc

I'm just collecting names that have been mentioned by ninjas. Top Cat had an issue with him, I believe he sent a falsely advertised Steelbook. I also ordered from him in past and received a Steelbook full of chips and shrinkwrap tears.

Edit: These names were provided by members NOT ME, I am simply collecting the names so the list can be up-to-date.

Edit #2: Use the search function to see what the issue is with X eBay buyer. The search function should take you to pages where X name is mentioned.

For example type Caalina in the Search this Thead tab and it will show you pages where this name is mentioned.

This may be not be relevant to this thread but this is the second time this has happened to me when selling on ebay.

When i sent off a package by Royal Mail International Signed For postage, when i check on Royal Mail Track and Trace it shows item being delivered in Australia. Last time this happened i had to refund the customer (jayczh123) then after 6 weeks the item was delivered by then it was too late because he opened a paypal case for item not received.

This time i am having the same message for (Caalina)

GB, if this happened to me, I wouldn't refund the buyer. Reason being because the package has not been sent or 'signed for' yet. The buyer can see the tracking and it's out of your hands. You sent it signed for RM which is 'priority handling'. If your afraid someone leaves you negative feedback for that you can dispute that with ebay. It's not your fault and all you ask is some 'patience'. It's not like you sent it ground shipping! S**t happens mate and the buyer should compromise and understand.

Yep, you should not aim for a 'perfect' feedback otherwise you will be open for buyers to take advantage of you. I am sure other buyers will take it as a grain of salt when they see the negative feedback. In other words, you cannot please everyone!

So now Caalina is saying they never got your item? Sounds like a scam to me as I have shipped a package two months ago and Caalina said not received yet. I just shipped out another one that they had bought a while ago yesterday so it will be interesting to see what happens. Lets work together on this ok dragon?

I assumed that since Caalina paid for their order tow days ago that meant they received their order. I will report back what Caalina says as I sent an email. I think we need to work together on this and share it with ebay if Caalina is saying the same thing for both you and me.
